Never heard this before. From recordings for Mirror Mirror. The voice sounds like Reconsider Me. She had a couple of great songs that really never got the airtime they deserved

Are You Mine is one of my favorite Stevie vocals( on a duet) I would love an official recording of this with Billy B from 1985. I do love the boot!

If you dig up the "Wild Heart" interview with Jim Ladd there is a version of this song with Stevie, Sharon, Lori & Sandy Stewart and Stevie talks about this being one of the first songs she sang with her grandfather... Last edited by BlueDenimLamp; 09-06-2015 at 09:45 PM.. |

Nope. It was originally sung by Ernest Tubb and Loretta Lynn, but also by George Jones and others.

Wow, I have never heard this. I'm also a big fan of Stevie's country songs. This is awesome. Thanks for posting this.

Timothy White, the journalist who wrote the 1981 Rolling Stone cover story on Stevie, first aired this recording on a radio-interview show called Timothy White's Rock Stars. I think it was in 1988.
On that same show, they also previewed Christine's Everywhere demo.

There's also a version that is not a duet with Billy Burnette.

she's claimed for years to have a tape of her singing it with her grandfather, A.J., when she was a child. Would love to hear it. Would love to hear the full song she wrote for him The Grandfather Song. She's sung snippets here and there.
