Remember how Chris said that after the RRHOF in 1998 they didn't even say goodbye. They just all got in their rides and drove off, because they'd already said it all after the last Dance show. Michele

I was wondering about that... Lindsey seems to be waving to someone way behind but John makes a gesture while it seems he's looking at Lindsey.

I'm sure by this point they're soooo ready for a little time apart, and not necessarily in a horrible or bad way, just fatigued.

guess that fits with the same stretched out tee shirts and boots with duct tape and all that...

Does anybody actually know how old this video is.Looking at the source of this video on Youtube which looks like one of those rubbish rag mag YT channels. It reminds me of the crap in the stands at the cash checkouts at my supermarket.

Michele
He needs those assistants to keep his cigarette stash in stock. I assume he is the only one in the band that still smokes them.

Stevie had a passing phase smoking Kools. Lindsey must have smoked cigarettes for a time -- he is seen smoking on stage in the Mirage concert video. Christine used to smoke cigarettes, but I assume she quit a long time ago. I don't think Mick has ever been a smoker (pot exemption for all them).

Richard said Lindsey never smoked cigarettes (tobacco ones). In addition to the Mirage video, there are a number of pictures of him smoking something; I always assume it's a joint.

A well-founded assumption. And, also remember that during "Not That Funny", John came over for a toke.

I'm going to have to go with olive on this. I really don't have much sympathy for him. John had Colon Cancer. Drinking & Smoking are major cause of Colon Cancer. Yes, John was a heavy drinker (and as of 1997, still is) Smoking is a huge factor too.

No, smoking increases the likelihood of all cancers, including colon cancer but it is not one of the major causes for colon cancer. Far more significant are poor (fatty, low fibre) diets, lack of physical fitness and significant alcohol consumption.

More likely drinking is the culprit for colon cancer. It hit close to home what drinking can do to your insides. On the otherhand smoking could be link to it.The Doctor /Registered Nurse ledgies could answer that.

I also agree on crappy food diet can do a number with the colon.
I'm on a fiber diet myself and check out fine with the doctor.

Got to eat that fiber...................................

Smoking definitely will ruin the lungs .It killed my uncle at 66.And some friends too.

Oh man... why is this thread even here?

Shouldn't we be talking about the music rather than what the guy does in his personal life?!?

He's a grown man ffs, if he wants to smoke that's his lookout. Yeah it's not the greatest habit on the planet - but the dude is an adult and who the F*** are any of US to have a go at him for it?

Seriously get off the soap boxes it's getting boring.

If there are threads about Lindsey's past abusive behaviour or Stevie's drug abuse and abortion we can discuss this absolutely legitimate and free (even if stupid) choice of smoking like adults, without need to get defensive.

Agree entirely!
Two other things concern me here : the invasion of John's privacy as he is filmed and focused on for a few minutes as he's going about his business. This is so unfair to him. The fact that he is famous should not deprive him of his space.
Secondly, I'm very wary of these apparently ' professional ' autograph hunters who hang about airports and always seem to have albums/ posters to hand. I've seen the same done to members of the Rolling Stones who, despite their security are hassled by the
people as they wish them a safe journey or welcome them while at the same time
shove items to be signed straight at them. Most of these, of course, will end up on ebay.
Yes, let's stick to the music!

It seems like a trend here lately .I agree and we have opinions and which we have the right to .How about some positive talk about FM and its members and their music .To much dwelling on the bad stuff.Like for example Lindsey helped an old lady across the street.Mick helped a guy find his contact lens.Chris teaching a little girl how to play the piano.John helping a guy on his boat.Stevie teaching a girl how to sing.

Chill out guys .We suppose to love this band.
