It was Irvine Meadows in Southern California. Henley and other Eagles guests were helping Fleetwood with a cancer benefit.

It may have been the first and only time a woman rock star was onstage with three of her former bedmates.

Yes, it does. The High Priestess has been quoted on countless occasions saying that, when she returned to Fleetwood Mac in 1982 after a hugely successful solo outing, "Bella Donna" was NEVER discussed. She claims that she didn't "throw it in their face" and NO ONE said anything about it.

The fact that "Edge of 17" was even playfully rehearsed onstage during "Mirage" Tour rehearsals tells me that "Bella Donna" was, in fact, discussed in detail.....right down to the chords for playing one of its biggest hits. I can hear Christine talking.....and Lindsey playing guitar.......Tisk, tisk, Stephanie! You are rewriting history, again.

That is likely what was happening. They were just exploring the possibility. This wasn't a formal rehearsal of the song, but just some playing around with it. I but I must say, it's intriguing hearing how they would have reinterpreted it.

They didn't completely ignore her solo work, but their collective band material took precedence. I can only recall Stand Back, Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You and Go Insane. Stevie was probably the most persistent to perform her solo songs. Christine's solo work would blend so senselessly, it's surprising none of her solo songs slipped into their sets. Any song from her two albums would be fantastically rendered by the band. "Friend" is one of my favorites; it's so Mac friendly.

maybe she just means they didn't suddenly bow down to her newfound solo rockstar status…. no one treated her any differently than they had before…. and so she didn't throw it in their faces and got up and go her own cup of coffee, etc.

Yes! This is a great song that has long been forgotten by the band. With its Buckingham Nicks era roots, it should have been resurrected during one of the 2003-13 tours.

Bands do all kinds of things during rehearsals to blow off steam, so having your band mates goof around a bit trying one of your songs is quite different than any of them saying something to the effect of we heard your solo album and it was really good, congratulations. Which really kinda sucks, if you ask me. You put all this time and energy into something and your band mates can't even congratulate you?

Edge of 17 is 3 chords and they aren't hard to decipher. I doubt there was much discussion.
