A genuine music legend is in Liverpool tomorrow - the cherry on top of a marvellous weekly culture guide.

Elsewhere there's new artwork at FACT, DadaFest returns and a remarkable fitness regime quite unlike any other.

As always tweet us your events and happenings each week here - enjoy your week.

Mick Fleetwood at Oh Me Oh My - Tuesday November 4, 7pm, £25

Few bands have led a more rock and roll lifestyle than Fleetwood Mac - and tomorrow you'll have the chance to hear the tales first hand from founder Mick Fleetwood.

This intimate Q&A in Oh Me Oh My centres around Fleetwood's new book - Play On, as he recounts the story behind the band which has sold 140 million records.

Here he tells the full and candid story of his life as one of music’s greatest drummers and band leaders, the co-founder of the deeply loved band that bears his name along with his band mate and lifelong friend John McVie.

Play On sheds new light on Fleetwood Mac’s raucous history, the creation of albums like Rumours and Tusk, the great loves of his life, and the many incredible and outrageous moments of recording, touring and living with Fleetwood Mac. Unmissable.

For further information about the event please contact Waterstones Liverpool on [email protected] or 0151 709 9820.

Mick Fleetwood, photographer, coming to Atlanta with Fleetwood Mac

http://artsculture.blog.ajc.com/2014...fleetwood-mac/

Mick Fleetwood is well-known as the rock-solid drummer of Fleetwood Mac, one of rock music’s most enduring bands. But have you heard of Mick Fleetwood the photographer?

They’re one and the same. And if you happen to have $2,500 sitting around, you can meet him.

That’s the price of a Fleetwood photographic print that fans must pre-purchase to be able to attend a private reception with, and 30-plus-work exhibit by, the Fleetwood Mac drummer at Roswell’s Ann Jackson Gallery on Dec. 16.

The band’s “On With the Show” tour hits Philips Arena on Dec. 17.

Wow Mick will be on the promotional trail with his book like Stevie is with her 24K album.

He will be in Seattle on Nov 21 (Friday) at noon.

If you buy the book ahead of time at the University of Washington bookstore (full price) you get a ticket that guarantees you a spot in the first group in line to have him sign your book. (Depending on crowd size the first group could be as many as 100 people).

I'm a sucka, I bought a copy. Any other Ledgies in Seattle?

I'll be at the LA one. Hopefully he doesn't remember us from last time, when we caught him spilling the beans on Stevie's album.

are they on a break now? I think someone said they have this week off from the tour? Otherwise he's doing some serious commuting to be in Liverpool today!

I think Mick was appearing on BBC breakfast news this morning to promote his book. Unfortunately I left for work before he came on and didn't catch it. Are there any Brits out there that caught his interview? Did he say anything of note?
(the BBC studios are now in Manchester which is a very short journey over to Liverpool in time for his book signing).

I didn't even know he was on it until my mum told me that the presenters said he was going to be on it! I recorded it and watched it earlier on today and they didn't really talk about anything new, just the same old 'Rumours' difficult relationships thing, favourite songs and basically a few things from the book.

A fairly short interview really which isn't a must see.

Thanks, I thought that would be the case. BBC breakfast interviews are never tremendously insightful and of any real interest- they tend to have people on to fill up five minutes and just go through the motions.

Mick cancelled on Mayo which is a shame. I like his interviews (though never as much as his film review show with Mark, it must be said...).

@simonmayo Finished Mick Fleetwood's memoir just in time for him to cancel the interview. Anyone want a heavily-underlined, scribbled-in book?

There are these radio shows he's been on as well, if you're wanting to listen. They'll be there for about a week, sometimes more.

BBC Radio 6 Music w/ Radcliffe & Maconie: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04ndbp7

BBC Radio Oxford w/ Howard Bentham: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p029klkj

BBC Radio Scotland w/ Fred MacAulay: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04mhmwt

In addition, Insight have repeated Alan Black's 1976 profile of Fleetwood Mac: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00t4r65

I usually watch this show and haven't the last couple days so missed this. Thanks Ted57 for posting!

They covered a lot of the SOS but I like that they asked him some totally new stuff (as father of 4 girls, what advice would he give them about men?) and asked about him and Jenny which was refreshing. Of course Gayle had to ask about Stevie.
