Ok, I just noticed this and didn't want to read all 6 pages of replies so I skipped a bunch in the middle that may have said this, but many religions embrace spirituality and kindness. I personally am a witch (I don't use the term Wicca for myself as I don't follow all of their creed) and believe in the principle that everything you put into the universe will come back to you three fold. I am open to hearing opinions of any religion and remaining respectful of them but request respect in return.
Some people just believe in being nice for the sake of being nice. Imagery is all about interpretation as well. Always holding a book for instance could be to show she's well read, it could be a magickal tome, or a Hindu Veda for all we know. How many covers have featured a crystal ball on them? (ok, it's 3... but still you get the point) And a dove is a universal symbol of peace in many many cultures.
And I am in no way meaning any disrespect to anyone at all so don't take what I'm typing as sarcasm or anything (I can come across as a raging bitch at times without realizing it so I warn people sometimes lol)

Is there any evidence that she was heavy smoker? There is known evidence that she's smokes/smoked pot. She may have smoked cigarette occasionally, or went through a passing phase with it. That doesn't maker her a heavy smoker.

She said she was - for ten years. I can't remember the actual number, but after she quit, she self-reported the amount she used to smoke per day, and it was quite a bit.

Im pretty sure she mentioned in a interview she smoked 40 Kool menthols a day 2 pkts, also she enjoyed smoking some hash before hitting the stage back in the day.

I wouldn't seriously take that as fact; she tends to exaggerate just about everything, especially when it comes to numbers/quantities. She's a genuine drama queen.

I don't think it's an exaggeration at all. In fact I think she still smokes. It's pretty evident in her voice (singing AND speaking), which is fine and her choice. I love her weathered voice.
