jury duty

has anyone recently had to serve on a jury? I got a notice for july 9th in Camden county new jersey. anyone here from that county and did you have to go. my employer doesn't pay me for going I am a part time employee. hopefully I won't have to go.

I just had jury duty here in Nevada. They let me go. They only pay here after the third day. So didn't get paid either.

Just go and get it over with. More than likely they won't even need you to serve and the best part is, after that they won't send you another notice for 3 years.

Here in Connecticut my employer payed me when I was called for jury duty for the time on the first day I was there.I never had to go for the second day in my lifetime yet.

I never served on a trial all of these years .The case gets thrown out of court by the time I get called down there or when they get to my name when they finished their selection.

For self employed people like my dad was it was a pain in the butt.

They tell you to call the courthouse and listen to a recording 5 PM the night before with the details for the next day.It will tell you if the case is still on or cancelled and who should report to the courthouse in the morning.
