Default Help: Street Angel era photos, anyone?

I have been reading diamondsnake's posts in the rumours room (and forgive me if i have messes up his name) but i was curious, are there any live of photos floating around of stevie during street angel tv/radio promos and the tour? i remember seeing her on letterman with the biog hair but i was only 14 and i didnt notice her looking bad. MY POINT- Im just curious to see how she looked and see what everyone has been talking about regarding her weight and all of that.

help???

why is everyone is obsessed with seeing Stevie look bad these days
After looking at those pictures, I have no freaking clue!

I didn't know she ever got that bad looking. She almost looks like she's still on drugs real bad or something. It's amazing how good she looked for the Dance and how shabby she looked here.

To be honest, I'd much rather look at Rumours era pics of her or new ones than these.

I just do not thgink she looks like the cave dwelling troll some see in those pics. I think she was just a little heavier. As I have mentioned before, I saw that concert in Atlanta and she rock and rolled and was in great voice. So, I say the hell with the weight.

LOL - that was not my favorite hairstyle. But, Stevie had crazy hair from The Wild Heart Tour through the Street Angel period!

Poor poor poor Stevie,

She couldnt help what actually happened to her during those years really.... I cant see how ne fan would say she looked bad

poor poor poor stevie if she has ppl like that judging her.

Ive learnt through this past year that looks really arent that important at all due to an illness ive had..ill say no more..yes make the most of wot u got, but it aint that important.

Non of those above pictures shows a stevie looking worse than can be expected..she looks fab on all of them

the hair was part and parcel of the style at the time, stevie is stevie.

Cmon guys, give her a freakin break!

Russ

lol

Warning, I'm about to get preachy. If this offends any of you, I am sorry. It's just how I feel.

am I the only one that's distressed about these "let's rag on Stevie's hairstyle, outfits, lyrics, weight" threads?

We all know that Street Angel is her most unfavorite album.

We all know that she is not terribly proud of those songs.

We all know she was unhappy with her weight and her overall appearance at this time.

But must we constantly pick apart how she looked in the past?

The fact is that she is over that stage of her life and has lived to make it to the other side, Thank God! Let us not forget she was on Klonopin for years. That stuff is a complete nightmare. Can't we just celebrate her glorious return creatively?

I look at these photos and I think she looks beautiful. But I know she was unhappy with herself at that time, and for her sake, I'm glad she made a change within herself! I firmly believe that she has never looked more beautiful than she has since the Dance until now.

This woman has given us fans so much. Why can't we just appreciate her without tearing her apart?

Rant over.

Thanks.

Angry

To clarify: I never intended this thread to be a "Stevie Style/Hair Bash". I simply wanted to know what all the talk was about her not looking good. As I stated before, I never noticed her looking bad when I saw her do Letterman and Leno back in 94.

Stevie could wear a tarmac (sp?) and some reebok pumps and I would still worship the stage she prances on.

It's a shame that there is such a standard for celebrities to live up to. Yes Street Angel wasnt a WORLD SHATTERING album, It's not horrible though?! Yes maybe it wasnt the giant gem in her crown that we all would hope for, but she bounced back a million times over since.

Instead of focusing on the negative, maybe we should all note the influence La Nicks has had in the few years since the Dance. Almost every season you hear some designer cite her as an influence. Look at the pheasant tops, hankerchief hemlines, shag haircuts and platform boots that seem to have pretty much remained a major staple in contemporary fashion.

I'll state again: This thread was in no way, an attempt to bash Stevie or her weight/hair/style et al. I was simply curious as to what I was missing- WHICH APPARENTLY wasn't much.

I saw her in Philadelphia in May and I plan to go again at the end of the month. She looks great, she sounds great...hell...shes on stage. That's more than enough for me.

She will always be the true Queen of Rock and Roll.

Thanks for all the feedback though. You guys rule.
