Long Distance Winner

I thought my IPOD started playing. But it is the overhead speakers at Dallas Airport. United terminal. Freakin awesome to hear this playing. What a great song.

So at some point Stevie and Lindsey (or their reps) had to give permission for that material to be used. If they can come to an agreement about that, wtf is holding up a reissue??

It's pretty cool that you heard it even though LDW is kind of an odd song for them to play... The airport must subscribe to some type of music service...I wonder if they are actually paying a royalty for it's use...There are new "Buckingham/Nicks" CD's being sold on the Internet so I wonder how on top of things Stevie's people are when it comes to the licensing of her songs or image...I was on ebay the other day and there were a lot of new Stevie items (phone covers, mouse pads, shirts) most of them are out of China, Thailand and I have to wonder how many are bootlegs...

Long Distance Winner was included on Stevie's Enchanted Box set and some promo issues related to it. Maybe that's how it found it's way out.
