Default Just the facts

Is anyone else annoyed when all fans accept bias comments as facts?

I've seen no facts to support the repeated and accepted notion that Stevie gets a bigger cut of the band $$$, be it guarantee or net proceeds.

Its not just Nicks fans. Somehow everyone just accepts this as a fact so they can quickly move on to arguing about it.

P.S.
If I've overlooked an earlier post where this has been documented by a verifiable source, please excuse the misunderstanding.

What I said was that fans of the Holy Trinity can be "equally over-the-top." I wasn't claiming there's an equal amount of fans behaving in the same way, or that there's an equal amount of incidents of said behavior.

I don't fault David either. Which is why I pointed out that I've had times when my enjoyment of Lindsey's music has been diminished by the actions of some of his biggest die-hards. I try not to let that happen, because it isn't Lindsey's fault -- but it has.

Also, why did they let her website expire? The domain name is $2,295. If she can't afford that, no wonder she is returning to the band. We better hire her now before she starts milking cows for a living.

Anyway, buy back the domain name and update the website. Just put some filler content there until she has an announcement to make. But at least get fans in the habit of going there to check it out occasionally.

Yes. It bothers me greatly.

Actually, I think the split information was posted many years ago by someone other posters trusted. I don't know where the original post is or who made it, but it was probably 10 years ago and it's come up in discussions several times since then.

I'm guessing that it was created solely to promote ITM. Since, until recently, Christine was officially retired, renewing it probably seemed like a waste of time and effort.

Please, if all she needs is £££, there's always Ringo & The All Stars.

As a celebrity, I think she should want to own the "com" url for her name even if she had NOTHING to put up on it, just to keep other critters from getting it. And if they didn't want to update it, just throw some basic information up and leave it there, rather than just letting the domain name expire. It's kind of silly to me, but this is from a group of people who have the worst marketing team in the entire world.

‘We let go of that a long time ago’: Fleetwood Mac welcomes unexpected talk of Christine McVie reunion

by Something Else!, December 14, 2013

When Christine McVie started ruminating about a reunion with Fleetwood Mac, after making a rare appearance with her former band in London, fans weren’t the only ones shocked. So was Mick Fleetwood.

Fleetwood, of course, co-founded Fleetwood Mac in in 1967. McVie, then going by her maiden name of Perfect, officially joined three years later — helping form the foundation of a lineup, along with ex-husband John McVie, that would reach superstar status with the release of 1977′s mega-selling Rumours.

By 1998, however, McVie had left. Fleetwood Mac has continued forward as a four piece, with Lindsey Buckingham, Fleetwood, McVie and Stevie Nicks.

That said, McVie has permission to resume her place at any time, Fleetwood says.

“The thought of some picture that may or may not happen is still a lovely thought,” Fleetwood tells RCN TV. “We miss her. She’s magic. … We let go of that a long time ago, when she decided to hang it up, so to speak. But if she ever decides not to hang it up, she’d always be welcome.”

McVie’s surprise stop in London evolved out of a personal visit to Fleetwood’s home. “Chris is like my sister,” Fleetwood says. “She came to Hawaii, where I live, and we had the greatest time. It seems very normal for her to come and say hello. Anything else is all rumors, I’m afraid.”

No pun intended, right?

“People are going to say what they are going to say, and there’s really nothing we can do about it,” he says. “But it’s certainly not an awful thing to imagine — that she would be with us at some point in the future.”

They really, truly do. It's highly unfortunate.

Oh, now how cool would THAT be?!?!?

Since everybody sings in Ringo's All-Starr Band, that would leave Mick & John out, but having Christine there would be interesting!

Ringo- drums & vocals
Sheila E. -drums & vocals
Greg Lake-bass & vocals
Peter Frampton-guitar & vocals
Joe Walsh-guitar & vocals
Christine McVie-keyboards & vocals
Burton Cummings-keyboards & vocals
Mark Rivera-saxophone

And, Sheila E would have somebody to room with on the road!

I get this feeling that Christine and Burton would get into a fistfight on stage at some point.

That big pricetag is a result of something called "cybersquatting," when an entrepreneur buys a domain name that they think will be of interest to someone, and then try to resell it to the someone at a huge markup. A normal domain registration costs in the range of ten dollars a year.

Christine's team ought to just forget about the dot-com website name and get her a website called christinemcvie.info or christinemcvie.net or whatever. There are plenty of domain name extensions and the dot-com name doesn't have any special meaning, other than being the most commonly used. The website we're currently on, for example, is fleetwoodmac.net (not dot-com).

.co.uk seems appropriate.

That damn Christine burning her bridges again! If she wants the domain back, she can get it fairly easily. There are many legal means now to crush domain squatters (people who use celebrity domains in bad faith or for commercial purposes), if need be.

I think she is trying to re-build those bridges. I just listened to some of the Radio 2 interview, she mentioned more than once how handsome she thought Lindsey was when they first met him and Stevie. I think she might be trying to get into his good books
