As for songs that don't sound like Fleetwood Mac, Come is one I would definitely make solo, but Illume is a nice spin on their usual sound and I would keep it and I think Everybody Finds Out is a welcome difference as well.

When Chris diverged, it's not that she didn't sound like FM, so much as she didn't sound as much like herself. With Behind the Mask and Heart of Stone, Lindsey wasn't there and I would love for her to do something a little darker like those two of hers, with him included in it. That would be fun.

i was just thinking of that... Rodeo is such a beautiful song and may have gotten exposure it deserves if it was on FM album. but then again, it's not like general audiences know SYW songs anyway, except BTLH which was on the dance, and Peackeeper and maybe SYW. so i don't know that it would have really gotten that much more exposure. plus Rodeo is gorgeous the way it's recorded, i would hate SN's vocal being added on it. so after going through this exercise, i'm happy LB pulled Rodeo from SYW and it ended up on UTS.

I wouldn't mind that, but ONLY if they did the power trio thing with no extra musicians or used bunch of backing tracks at the live shows. They COULD kick ass. They'd never go for that, but I'd be first in line if they did.

Agreed. "Down on Rodeo" is a fantastic song, and I'm glad it wasn't on SYW. I thought his solo version of "Peacekeeper" was much better than the one with Stevie's vocals, for instance.

It's hit or miss with that stuff. I think "Steal Your Heart Away" sounds better with Stevie, although I'm miffed that Christine's keyboards were a little buried in the mix.

I can't figure out what it is you are trying to say here.

I wish SYW had one Lindsey song followed by one Stevie song throughout the whole CD. Too many songs by one singer in a row feels too much like a solo album.

Yes, that IS what I intended to type. Thanks.

I have to agree. The album would've flowed better.

I don't know that I would alternate songs, but starting with two Lindsey songs and then coming in with Illume next was not wise.

Also, RTTG and Silver Girl back to back was a mistake.

I was thinking that another benefit of Christine returning is that we not only get a new album cover, but we get a new set of publicity photos. Knowing them, they'll just squeeze a giant head of Christine into their SYW publicity photos, rather than shoot new ones.

Oh, also can we have less heavy Christine airbrushing this time than we did with Dance and Meantime?

Or, with Stevie (as in the current publicity shot).

We all have cellphones, and we've all seen candids people have gotten from their cells. We know.
