Unhappy Anyone else notice this?

even if she's smiling she's got the saddest eyes I've ever seen.Beautiful but so sad.It could be the makeup but I don't think so.Even on the old youtube videos I noticed this-and the makeup was completely different.

the sad eyes were the Kolonapin eyes from 88-94. You can just see the glazed over look and KNOW.. "kolonapin years!"

Before the mid 80's she just had pretty eyes.

Then "The Dance era Stevie" till "Menopause Era Stevie" she looked like "Old Stevie" again. Watch the 1998 Jay Leno Stand Back and see how youthful and happy she looked.

Menopause Stevie, well.... gravity happens. Botox didn't help either in 2003-2004. I think she has been fighting the saggin eyelids ever since with minor lifts and gobs of shadow.

YOU try being 65 and not having your forehead sagging on your eyelids and we shall see how happy YOU look! ;-)

You know I have been thinking the same thing. I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed it. It could be the tour and jet lag but (IMO) she also she doesn't seem to be getting into her songs like she use to either.

Yes indeed she looks great for her age. Some women at 65 look like a granny.
I hope I look like that if I reach 65.

That would be an interesting transformation. Have you always wanted to look so lady like?

Deeshere,I think we're both on the same page with this. It's like a deep-in-the-soul kind of sadness.I know makeup can do wonders like make your eyes look bigger when ur tired or cover circles, but nothing can hide someones true feelings/emotions-like the true sparkle in somones eyes just isn't there even if they're smiling and say everything is ok you just know that that's not altogether true.Am I making sense here guys?I thought maybe she had her moms or dads eyes but from the few pictures I've seen of them,I'm not seeing it..And ur right-she doesn't seem to be getting into her songs the way she used to and non-use of drugs doesn't have anything to do with it IMO.The "sad clown"of rock & roll...

I completely understand what your saying. I know her mom dying really took a lot out of her, and she's said she still get's sick to her stomach when she thinks about it, so I know that's got to be a huge part of it. But, I don't think it's all about her mom though because I've seen videos from before he mom's death were she looks sad too.

Also, MacFan your right she still look amazing and I can only hope and pray that I look 1/2 a good as her when I hit 65.

I agree with the original post.... she has always had those sad "puppy-dog" eyes. Look at the Buckingham Nicks cover. (But look at her EYES...lol)

I mean that in a very complimentary way. It's sooooo hot.

Yes, I understand the Klonopin influence and the old-age influence, but in their essence, her eyes have always had that droopy, sad puppy-dog thing going on. Which always made her more attractive, IMHO.

As someone who has eyes which seem to invite complete strangers to ask me if everything is ok and if there's anything they can do to help, I can sympathize with Stevie on this. Yes, her eyes are a little sad looking, but I'm with seekerj, they've always been that way even her verifiably happy-bliss-youth-possibility years. I'd advise against reading much into it. Some eyes just look that way. In fact, I think most caucasian eyes probably look a little sad, you just notice the bigger ones a little more quickly.

Not discounting her mom's death, I think a lot of it has to do with her overall features. Her eyes are almost round, but also kind of hooded, and her mouth turns down a little at the ends. Even around 1975, she's got the same look. You could attribute it to the state of her relationship with Lindsey, but I think she just looks like that.

1975/6:

I picked this one from '83 when she had a lot of **** going on, but mostly because it shows her lip shape really well. Compare it to the happy-bliss-youth years Dex is talking about, and 1996 when things were getting better. Not a lot of difference.

Stevie has beautiful eyes.I did notice is some pictures that one eye hers was going in.
I cant recall which photos did I see that in and if I find it I will post it here.

I had that problem with my eye goes in .

She must of have it fix with surgery like I did when I was about 5 years old.
