I don't think I've ever seen Walker's Thai Chilli crisps though? Or are they those upmarket "sensation" ones which I tend to ignore at the supermarket? The world of crisps
They are one of those posh Sensations and so divine! We also import cheese & onion but I don't 'have to have' those!

We knew many Americans in London who missed Wendys. Funnily enough we met a franchise owner here who opened several UK Wendys in the 80s or 90s and most closed...because Brits didn't like square shaped burgers. True story and made me laugh. We are in Columbus ohio, which is Wendy's HQ so Wendy's is serious business round here!

Your Wendy's story has been confirmed by co-workers of mine! I don't get how square burgers could've been such a dealbreaker for people but that is indeed what people have told me as well. It just makes no sense to me that Burger King and McDonald's could've had such triumphant success here when they just don't cut the mustard compared to Wendy's. The world of big business is a mystery to me. But like you, I'd probably be far less excited by Wendy's if it was available to me all the time. It's all part of the mystique for me, now.

I shall have to keep an eye out for those thai chili crisps next time I'm in the store! But I'm a roast chicken man most of the time.

Usually twice a year, Christmas and birthday, we order English treats we miss and can't find locally. I always get Walkers Thai Chilli crisps--my favourite junk food. Eating twice a year or so keeps it special and so I am almost glad they are not in every US shop.

When home alone I often blast the 'cheesy' 70s and 80s music--makes household chores more fun. Or, I like a bit of classic telly-esp if ill and needing a comfort.

I do have John Denvers greatest hits--he was fabulous!
And, Sarah b is an amazing talent-will be a wonderful show!
woohoo, Jennifer! So happy to read you have JD's Greatest hits and that I'm not the only one! I like a lot of the cheesey 70's Top Forty songs.

Your comment about classic tv made me think of another guilty pleasure; our local PBS station here in the US sometimes plays an old British tv show called "Keeping Up Appearances". I love it! Sometimes I feel like I can't breathe from laughing so hard! Definitely another guilty pleasure of mine!

I like Wendy's too.

I think their fries are fantastically better than McDonald's, however not as good as a local franchise that we have around here (E.TN) known as Pal's Sudden Service.

My guilty pleasures would have to include:

-Loving certain top 40 hits on the radio right now "Roar", "American Girl" and Macklemore material.
-I am not ashamed to say that I'm a huge Sailor Moon fan
-I love Jenna Marbles videos
-Finally I have this weird obsession with collecting lipsticks. So far there's this huge bag of 50 tubes of chilled lipstick in my parents' garage fridge. I'm not much of an eye makeup person (really uncoordinated in that department) so I focus on my lips.

Hey, these aren't copyrighted or anything. Sharing guilty pleasures is part of what makes this thread fun.

!!!!!!! Love Sailor Moon. Well, haven't watched in years actually, but think of very fondly. I took that show vureh srsleh throughout my adolescence. These days it's a bit too.... heightened, for my taste. But I still have much affection for it. And am enormously excited for the new series which is released worldwide this winter.

Loving all the Wendy's love! We are a healthy bunch, aren't we?

Chessy 80s music is the best. Speaking of, I was blasting Flashdance (What a Feeling) yesterday on the way to practice

Idk is having multiple celeb crushes on men 30-45 years older than me (Mr. Buckingham I'm looking at you.) a guilty pleasure or an odd preference?

I wouldn't even call it an odd preference! I have little crushes on men 30-45 years older than me from all walks of life. One who works at the local shop, one the lead guitarist of Fleetwood Mac. I don't discriminate, I just like.

Re: Wendy's. I don't think I've attempted to eat anything other than their Spicy Chicken Fillet since I was about 12. I am seemingly totally devoted to that particular dish. Perhaps it's time I branch out a bit. The world of Frosties is a total mystery to me.

I'm utterly embarrassed to admit this, but when I don't feel well or when it's really cold outside, I still occasionally want my favorite childhood comfort meal: Chef Boyardee ABC's & 123's & a corn dog. And no, I don't dare read the ingredient labels... ignorance is bliss!

I don't feel so bad for loving canned tamales and cheez-its now.

I still love John Denver music too! He wrote some beautiful sensitizing stuff that also evokes the wood panelled lava candle '70s for me as much as certain Fleetwood Mac albums can.

When I'm sick, and I mean sick sick, my own personal wondercure is vanilla ice cream, with Welch's concentrated grape juice poured all over it. A couple of bowls of that, and I can cure anything. I swear to god. Cure anything. It repairs my body.
