And, as with Brian Wilson & the never finished Smile project, it's just a shame we couldn't hear a finished version of what OotC's follow-up would've been instead of the tracks being changed & spread out over 3 or 4 subsequent albums.
Can't agree more!!

I agree 100%. Even when I read archives from those years (1992, 1993) and different interviews with Lindsey, OOTC was not enough promoted. I've watched all the videos, and I don't know if 3 videos only were the ideal number for a 16-tracks album, we can discuss it... But, definitely was not the best time to release it. Anyway, between the new music that appeared at that time, it's a gem. The other thing to discuss is what would have happened if FM didn't play in 1993...

Textured with accuracy, quirky in its way, Lindsey had perfectioned what he did on Go Insane. As guitarist myself, I was fascinated by Lindsey's role as axeman in his own compositions, it amazed me. Every single song, shows various moods, various intentions, regrets, a whole world in words and notes.
If I had to pick an adjective to desribe this masterpiece I would use: baroque.
This. THIS!!!

I'm not sure these are his most popular albums? OOTC, sure. But Go Insane? Of the officially released albums, I prefer SWS, GOS, and UTS over both OOTC and GI. I understand why many like OOTC so much, but for me I would choose SWS as my favorite easily, and I much prefer to listen to UTS and GOS before either OOTC and GI. For me, Lindsey keeps getting better with time and I don't often listen to his older solo material.
