Default You Can't Fix This airtime

so I walked into Bunnings this arvo (like HomeDepot for the non-Aussies) and You Can't Fix This was playing over the speakers. I kind of squee'd a little and was surprised to even hear it.

Was this officially released as a single? Did it do very well? I don't know why but I just thought it was a song Stevie and Dave did for the movie/docu. I've never heard it on the radio or anything

Most stores have their background music piped in from background music companies like Muzak or from their main headquarters or they have a box like a computer in the back office that plays tunes over the PA like a oversize iPod in the shuffle mode .

Of course the place of business has to have a music rights license in order to play music publicly. Like a radio station.

I have one of those old in store background music players that will play a reel of music for hours and repeat it self.

So far I have not heard a peep out of any of Stevie's IYD CD FM's EP and You Can Fix This on the radio.

You were lucky they had the tune in their tunes selection.

"You Can't Fix This" was playing as I was shopping at the health food store in Bangor, ME. I turned to my friend and said, "How cool is that?"

I heard "Everybody Finds Out" while eating out at Rock Bottom restaurant in Seattle around Thanksgiving last year. I was really sh0cked to hear it outside of the SYW album.

It's funny I heard "Edge" yesterday while shopping at a clothing store. That song is obviously not that unusual to hear. I didn't tell anyone but I found it funny that my husband happened to mention to me tonight that he heard " Edge" playing that same morning in a diner where he and his coworkers were having a business meeting.

Well you are one lucky little boy. I only heard it on the radio once and that was in 1980 when it was a current single.

There's an episode of the X-Files where they keep hearing the song Don't Look Any Further all day and when Mulder hears it yet again that evening on the radio, he feels it's a signal and runs over to Scully's and busts into her place just as a psycho has been running a bath for and prepariing to kill her. Of course, Scully blew the guy away, so she didn't really need Mulder to come over and save her, but . . . yeah, when you hear the same old song a lot in one day, it's significant.

Well, mabye it's just significant if the song is a little more obscure than Edge. If you and your husband keep hearing Outside the Rain, then take action.

I've heard You Can't Fix This at my local Bunnings here in Melbourne as well. Must be on their internal music roster.
It was great to hear it!
