I'm not interested in jumping into the "is she or isn't Stevie blessed" debate because frankly I can see both sides of the coin and believe there are equal merits & truths to both sides of the argument. I do, however, feel it is just a bit narrow-minded and even offensive to equate a comfortable financial situation and time in the lime light to a blessed existence. There are all kinds of hardships in the world...some of which all the money in the world can't help and existing under the microscope of intense public attention and expectations just makes all the more uncomfortable. I had a cousin who's mother adored him. He was given most everything ever wanted in life from the time he could talk. From the outside looking in, he led a charmed life...up until the day he hung himself. Believe me, there were plenty of blessings that he turned his back on and more torment than I care to think about. But to stand outside and assume one knows the content of another's heart and the weight of their trials...

There are pictures of her old pill bottles, and you can clearly read the name of 2 different doctors.

Here's the thing - was it a bad idea for Stevie to take Klonopin? Yes. Was it illegal? Nope. Was it unethical? The doctor could claim that it was necessary for her mental state at the time. If she was put on it as a mood stabilizer or to combat anxiety, it was being used correctly, at least at first. Lots of people become addicted to prescription drugs - sometimes the physician is partially at fault, sometimes he/she is not. |

Old pics, the shots in the doc were probably staged:

My mom is on klonopin for her panic attacks and stuff. She's been on it for years and rarely acted the way Stevie had acted when she was on it. Of course my mom doesn't take it that much, mainly when she plans to leave he house as her episodes happen when she is out. If she takes it at home, she just falls asleep!

I think the one on the right is a pain killer since the dosage is ?/500. The 500 being most likely acetaminophen. Is that correct? Did she ever say she was on painkillers? I've only ever heard Klonopin/clonazepam.

The dates on those bottles are from 1994 and I believe Stevie went through Klono-detox in 1993. As such, even if those bottles were really hers, they were probably for something else.

No matter. I don't see her full name or name of med on those pics, so there's no telling if they're actually hers & if so, what they are for. |

They are hers, you can see her full name on these (but not the name of the doc, so I posted the other pics), the '94 date is an expiration date , it says "discard after...", the first bottle was for Klonopin, the second one was a painkiller.

The pill bottles they used for Master Class were definitely new/modern looking, so they were either "staged" props, or were actual prescription bottles for a current prescription she's on (possible, but not very likely).
They definitely did not look like they came from 1987-1993. |
