Default Live Performance Battle: SOTM

I would love to see them bring this out for 2013!

What do you think of these performances? Which one would you have loved to see in person?

Mirage for certain! Performances like these are why I am not entirely comfortable with Stevie playing this again after all of these years.

Mirage, hands down.

Although I wouldn't have complained about any of them

Mirage. It likely is their greatest live performance.

Any sisters of the moon is great but the mirage version may just be all I need to prove to me that Stevie is the greatest female vocalist ever. There is no doubt Ann Wilson can technically sing better then Stevie at her prime and hit notes consistently stevie could never dream of, but the feeling that comes thru in mirage sisters is something no one else can touch.

You said it! "Sisters of the Moon" during the MIRAGE Tour is one of Stevie's greatest filmed live performances. That being said, I'm sure the song would fall flat should the band attempt it in the 2013 set list. Still, I'd like them to add it, if nothing more than to change up a tired/rehashed set.

"Sisters of the Moon" MIRAGE TOUR----Thanks goodness for white powder.....uh, um "energy drinks"

While the Mirage performance has rightfully earned its status among fans, I have an affinity for the Tusk doc version. Stevie thrusting her hand to the sky while the crowd leaps to its feet is just an incredible moment.

The Mirage tour would be perfect 10/10 if it weren't for that weird editing choice they made at about 5:55...

Agreed. Clearly splicing two different nights into one...

Default US Festival

Did that US Festival DVD ever get released? It was supposed to include some Fleetwood Mac—the "Sisters" at that show would have been superb to have on film.

Tusk, though I miss the "sistahhh! brothaaa! SISTAHHHH!"

When the lights go up on the Tusk docu and the crowd goes wild, you feel it. Sooo good.

Tusk doc... hands down. That song was captured as a moment in time and just sounds so, evil! Everything about that performance is perfect.

Mirage is good too but for different reasons. The song just doesn't have the same feel and lost its edge... but Stevie's performance makes up for it.

I've always loved the Mirage performance, but lately I've developed a huge fondness for the Tusk documentary one. She's at the height of her witchyness there, I think, you can almost feel the power. It looks like she could literally shoot lightning from her fingertips.

That's how I feel, Mirage's SOTM is the more memorable audiovisual performance*, but on the Tusk doc Stevie is really channeling that song's essence. Similar to how I feel about Mirage GYOW vs the '77? BBC video. Plus I like her voice better during Tusk.

*Although actually I love Stevie walking back and forth like a beggar woman with her black shawl wrapped around her head, and her arms throughout the song are very supplicating. I like that a bit more than the anger of the Mirage SOTM, which is very intense but makes me feel less connected.
