Default Predictions: Post-Rumours Era Songs

Moving onward to the Post-Rumours era.

Do you predict any songs from the '88 GH, Behind the Mask, '92 box set or Time will be performed. If so, what songs?

There will be a song from Say You Will and both the new ones; Sad Angel and Miss Fantasy will be played...at least at the first few shows.

Here on the Ledge, "Post-Rumours" is the era between 1987-1997, after Tango in the Night(1987) and before The Dance(1997). It's the era that Lindsey was gone and new members Rick, Billy, Bekka, and Dave come onboard, while Stevie and Christine where involved on a limited basis. Everything since The Dance in 1997 is redefined as being "Rumours era" at least according the standard set here on the Ledge.

I'll do more threads on Say You Will and Sad Angel/Miss Fantasy shortly.

Might as well be, because we probably won't get anything from those albums either (I don't count 'Big Love', as the only version they remember is The Dance one...)

They need to whip out Freedom! But I'm not holding my breath. They can't even seem to remember Tango, Mirage, or SYW so I highly doubt they remember anything between 88 and 95.

Well, really, I don't think they could perform some song from those years. And I suppose they will play the same songs fron TITN and Mirage...and Say You Will too!
I think they prefer to inculde something from the last Stevie and Lindsey solo works.
Regards!!

i'm confused about Love Runs Deeper being mentioned several times. why would this LB solo song be performed in the FM set?

i would love to hear Twisted, although a number of Tusk or SYW songs would be my preference if the choice is one or the other.

I'm speculating that SN will have another solo song (besides SB) added to the setlist, so to counter balance, LRD is an awesome song that would fit well in a Mac concert. Yes, I can hope that it will be Twisted and LRD, to showcase that they didn't stop writing after Rumours....their careers flourished and these two songs represent what great artists they still are.

I know LB has a long list of tunes he could perform that would fit the "Mac" style, but I love the energy and lyrics in this one:
"You were out of tune it seemed to suit my dark side
You had a prophet's pose and two states of mind
I was sure we'd go we were parallel lines"

Am I the only one that recalls a hint of GYOW in this song? A modern day interpretation? This song seems to fit the whole band, not just the singers' broken relationship.

I understand that many long-term fans want to hear more Tusk stuff, but other than NTF and/or IKINW, I don't care to hear LB's songs from that era, live. And I certainly don't want to hear a BN Sorceror or their version of SA. I want to hear Twisted and Crystal.

nice explanation! i really enjoy your posts and different slant you add to discussions here!

personally, if there was a chance of another or different Lindsey solo tune added to FM set, i would prefer In Our Own Time. such a great song for the whole band to perform. or if you want something more traditional-sounding but still rocking, That's The Way Love Goes. both are so great live.

but i would love to hear What Makes You Think You're The One and Walk A Thin Line from Tusk. and i wouldn't mind in the least if he keeps Bleed To Love Her or Come in the set.

we are bad, taking discussion of post-Rumours era songs into the Rumours-era band category, but couldn't resist.
