Well, I remember her referencing before in interviews that when she's in FM, she's a band member and she needs to tone it down, or something along those lines. I think she tones it down too much though.

Since they only share a few songs (Christine's and The Chain), there is no reason to tone anything down. They can both shine on their own songs. Lindsey does not expect to be the star of "Rhiannon" (and with the guitar solo out of the song there's no danger that he will be). While they both keep a low profile on some songs like Stevie on NGBA and Lindsey only playing rhythm to the side of the stage on SB, I don't buy the oft-repeated line that she is toning anything down on her own songs. Her lethargy may be due to depression. I hardly credit it to her attempt to let anyone shine. Although that's as good an excuse as any for her to throw out there when she is just not feeling it.
