'Twilight' like 'Wuthering Heights', 'Jane Eyre', says Stevie Nicks

Published Monday, Nov 12 2012, Digital Spy
http://www.digitalspy.com/celebrity/...vie-nicks.html

Stevie Nicks has compared the Twilight saga to classic nineteenth century romantic literature.

The Fleetwood Mac musician said at the Los Angeles premiere of Breaking Dawn - Part 2 that she finds Stephenie Meyer's novels to be "kind of timeless".

Nicks said when asked how she felt about the end of the movie series: "It's bittersweet... because I really would be happier if it was not ending. I wish it could go on forever. I think that [Stephenie] is probably... god knows how long it took her to write this. And it's been five years!

"It's a huge love story... I was just saying to the last [journalist], it's like Wuthering Heights, it's that kind of story... it's like Jane Eyre... it's a totally timeless kind of story that we can relate to."

Nicks also commented on the fervent fan reception for the movie's stars at the premiere, saying: "Well, it must be pretty fantastic and at the same time disturbing... I'm used to it, but I don't think you ever get 'used' to it. It's wonderful, and I love it, but at the same time it's kind of scary.

"If you're one of the chosen few that has an audience that loves you so much, it's a beautiful thing, and they will carry it with them for the rest of their lives."

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 opens on Friday, November 16. Watch a clip from the movie below:

Pattinson needs to go home and make British movies. I've seen him on The Daily Show and he seems perfectly funny and charming. He needs to be able to translate that charisma to the screen. Maybe it would be easier if he weren't trying to hide his accent.

I don't think we'd ever see her swoon over a young actor. She'd see herself much too mothering for that. Though it's certainly never stopped Cher or other stars from making over/dating much younger.

Well, she did swoon a little over that young singer on American Idol. But I just wondered if she approved of the casting. Reading her other comments from last night where she praised both Edward and Bella and Rob and Kristen for inspiring her to put out another album, I guess she likes the casting fine. Stephenie Meyer, on the other hand, may think they didn't bring out everything she envisioned in her characters. I know with the graphic novels that have been published, Meyer always emphasizes the fact that those comic portrayals are what she had in mind when she was writing.

True. Phillip Phillips is cute though and I could see where she thought he favored a young Lindsey in certain aspects.

Fleetwood Mac the day after tomorrow? Now THAT is fantastic news. Honestly, there was no need for them to get together until after the holidays if they were just going to do a "hits" tour. I think something is brewing, either new music or some sort of project. Maybe Lindsey is going to play her the demos? Oh wait, Lindsey is on tour...ehh thats not good. Maybe he'll phone in or something?

Maybe she, John and Mick are meeting together to figure out ways to get rid of Lindsey.

I LOVE IT!
Stevie would then be free to bring in Dave and Sheryl. Taking them in yet another interesting direction/lineup, The FleetwoodStewartCrowNicksMacs!!!

I'm not sure she was saying that she's going to be working with FM the day after tomorrow, but rather that once her event tomorrow night (or tonight, I guess), whatever that might be, is over, she has no more "solo/In Your Dreams" related commitments, and therefore, starting "the day after tomorrow," she belongs to Fleetwood Mac.

Sort of like closing one book and opening the next...

Maybe Stevie, Mick and John are going to attend a few Lindsey Buckingham concerts in the next few days or kill some time playing crickett in John's backyard or maybe Stevie is taking drum lessons from Mick.

She is a true Gemini.

Didn't she say not even a month ago she planned on spending Nov/Dec promoting the documentary??

They just recently got the IYD Website up and now it's over??
I hope not. I never got to see the doc and I'm sure I'm not the only one who would lovetto see it.

The 3rd video revealed the most info. It's actually 3 songs we might be getting. Two of them were songs of Lindsey's (that I'm assuming Mick and John played on)that Stevie sang backup on and one song didn't make the cut for the Buckingham /Nicks Album.
Who is Eilynn? I figure the red haired one might be Jessica. One of those ladies with Karen was wearing a moon necklace so you know she came with Stevie. Karen looked hot, hot, hot in her sparkly outfit.
In the 1st video Karen looked a tad nervous, scanning the crowd as if she were looking for some creep who shouldn't be there.

She might still have time to do more film festival type things. She announced a 50 date tour of the United States, 17 shows in Australia and 15 shows in Europe starting at the end of April. That gives them PLENTY of time to rehearse, record more new music(my wishful thinking), go to Hawaii, and whatever else floats their boats. Even though Stevie said they will play songs from deeper in their catalouge, I won't count on it, but I will hope for it.
