^^Woot! Couple of questions...

1. Why am I so happy to see Emmylou Harris and Stevie acting all chummy?
2. When did Bette Midler turn Japanese?

The Rose. That's a big deal. And it's vocally challenging too. This will be a treat for SN fans who want to see her doing something new and different. Michele

I would think that she is attending to honour Bette Midler.. They have been good friends since the '70's....
BUT.... just why is Bette Midler being honored?? Last time I looked, she wasn't a songwriter?????

I really, really hope we get to see or at least hear her sing The Rose.

On a funny note, can you imagine the pantomiming??

My mom was a big Bette Midler fan.She would of been happy to see Bette with this honor.I remember back when The Rose was on HBO for the first time .My mom would watch it when it was on.Bette is a great entertainer.

I would love to hear Stevie sing The Rose.

Finally found one without sunglasses. She looks stunning tonight.

And indeed she looks like she's singing.

The ones with her hands on Bette's shoulders.....is it me, or do the fingers of her left hand look really wonky?
