That's the tape Laura gave me (along with Mirage interviews with Christine, Lindsey, and Mick, and the 1987 press conference announcing Lindsey's departure).

Toni Graphia and I hung out with Laura in 1987, and all went to the Inglewood Forum concerts in December of that year. Before the opening night, we went to a sushi bar in Santa Monica, and Laura gave me the cassette tapes of these old interviews of hers.

She was a nice woman, all in all, but I was a little flummoxed when she so easily allowed me to pick up the tab for her at the Japanese restaurant.

Awww, when John said "definite sadness" regarding Lindsey's departure, I cherished it so much.

Ha, that's what you get! None of this:

Let me get that, No, let me. No, I insist . . .

sorry, confused - did you say she gave you some tapes of her FM interviews, and in return you offered to pay for her sushi and she let you - and after all these years you complain about paying for dinner?!?!?!
