I agree with your observation that nothing "ill" was said about Waddy. Someone simply observed that he looks the same as he did 20 years ago. It's a compliment especially in today's society where we are driven by looks and youth.

Um... he said Waddy looked like a vampire. And I don't think he meant a Robert Pattinson-looking vampire. That's not nice. Sure, everyone has a right to voice his/her opinion, but don't pretend that nothing "ill" was said.

Looking at the evolution of posts, I actually think the vampire reference came up because Waddy has not aged.

When people say that Sharon looks like a vampire, I think they mean sallow, emaciated and corpse like, with hair that could easily be widow's peaky. But in this conversation, I don't think they meant that about Waddy.

Of course, there are probably few here who think Waddy is handsome, but -- well, until I just said that -- I don't think his looks were being insulted.

Without Waddy I have no idea what Stevie's band would sound like.

Without Waddy counting off right in front of her face, I have no idea how Stevie would know when to start singing EO17.

I said that "maybe he's a vampire" because he doesn't look much older than he did in the early 80's. I did not say that he looked like a vampire. Hey Brad Pitt played a vampire in Ann Rice's movie and I thought he was hot.
