Though, to be fair, one of our longest residents at the Cat shelter has "hugged" me like that in the past, lol. He's a strange Cat, but so lovely and playful. He's one of those Cats that forgets to tuck his tongue in when he's finished using it, so leaves it hanging over his chin for ages. So funny.

I always found the gesture quite protective. Am I the only one who's noticed that even after everything that's happened between them, they still seem very protective of the other? It shows that their relationship went beyond the physical and romantic, and they still do care very deeply. Even if there's a hell of a lot of hurt in the pot too.

I agree, it does totally seem protective. It's that aspect of their relationship that is so touching still -- that at the end of the day no matter how much they may argue they have each other's back regardless.
