No-one has mentioned anything from The Muppet Christmas Carol. What about the song from the Ghost of Christmas Present?
"It's in the singing of a street corner choir..." (Does the arm shuffling dance around the room... ) or "We're Marley and Marley...wwhhhoaaaa" by Staedtler and Waldorf?? By the way Brandon, great choice on Sarah McLachlan, Wintersong. I'd also add these three: Carpenters - Merry Christmas Darling Kate Bush - December Will Be Magic Again Jona Lewie - Stop The Cavalry Kate Winslet - What If... (seriously, it's lovely)

I love Fiona Apple's version of Frosty The Snowman.

It has to be amongst my least favorite holiday songs as well. I can't put my finger on what it is I hate most about it, but it truly makes me nauseous. In my list of the very nadir of holiday songs.

This whole CD is fantastic.
Even the non-traditional songs are really well done & fit in nicely. But I do hate this version of Silver Bells. HATE. ![]() I thought of another holiday tune I don't care for: Mary Did You Know? And I never liked Pretty Paper til I heard Chris Isaak's version. Last edited by skcin; 12-06-2011 at 01:58 PM.. |

Besides Elvis' Christmas songs,
Clint Black's The Birth Of The King is a great song. |

I know it's not the same song, but this brought to mind Dolly singing "My sugar is raw..."
