It seems like almost every band in sometime of their life will put out a holiday CD.I think its will overdo for FM to do so.The members do have done some in their solo works. This will get them into the studio in the meantime.

But these type of albums are a novelty. Busy promoting their solo work, there is no incentive for them to reunite in a recording studio until they are ready to make a proper Fleetwood Mac album. I don't imagine there will ever be a Fleewood Mac Christmas album. But I can imagine a Stevie Nicks Christmas album. What could the title be? I think this question deserves it's own thread.

It's a nice thought. I think it would've been absolutely great a long time ago. However, music has become so cookie-cutter that I wonder if it could be nearly as good as it would have been twenty to thirty years ago. If Fleetwood Mac or Stevie recorded a Christmas album, I would be concerned about the quality of the music and production. Personally, I do not ever want to listen to another overproduced/underproduced, bland, computerized, poorly mixed, digital, Pro Tools/Auto-Tune kind of album that is full of filler and devoid of harmony and melody again! Unfortunately, that is exactly how most albums from popular artists seem to be now. If that is what Fleetwood Mac and Stevie are interested in, I am not interested.
On the other hand, if they stop making an effort to conform to what is popular today, get out of their comfort zones for a little while, leave their houses and garages to record for a change and create original Christmas songs that they've written themselves, with the rich melodies and harmonies that they were notorious for(in addition to recording a few traditional songs), I would be the first person in line to buy their albums.

It would of been great if FM had a Christmas hit like the Eagles with the classic Please Come Home for Christmas.Around the same time.

I hate to say this because I know it will bring the wrath of a large number of Ledgies down on me, but please remember it is just my personal opinion.
No FM Christmas album or single. I don't want to hear Stevie Nicks mangle another Christmas classic in same way she mangled "Silent Night". I can't listen to it. During this season, when it comes on the radio, I have to change the station. It's just painful to listen to. It's over done and she doesn't even sing all the words to the whole song. Please Fleetwood Mac, do not do a Christmas album or single. Please.

![]() There have been some quite good FM Christmas songs. We have Coventry Carol by Ms McVie We have Rock and Roll In Christmas and It Came Upon A Midnight Clear by Billy Burnette We also have Christmas At Home by Bekka Bramlett So don't be disheartened by Silent Night (and come on Santa Claus is Coming To Town with Chris Isaak and Stevie wasn't THAT bad). There might even be others that I can't think of right now... ![]()

Always the voice of optimism! ![]() I was thinking the other day that Mick involved in a version of "Little Drummer Boy" might be interesting, although it would run the very real risk of being overdone as well, with his penchat for drum fills. Honestly, I've not heard the tracks you mentioned, so I'll have to look them up. Stevie starts out ok on "Silent Night", then it just goes downhill.
