I have to admit it wasn't the finest performance. As regards to comments that she was drunk or stoned, I thought she just looked tired (or perhaps sick). She looked the same on the Sunday night when she was "mentoring" the contestants. To be honest, that is the worst bit of mentoring I've ever seen. Most guest are in the studio helping the contestants with their songs and giving them advice on their singing etc.

It was more of a "meet and greet" Stevie than anything else, she certainly wasn't mentoring them, just tossing a bit of advice their way (or at least that is how the show portrayed it).

As for the Aussies being harsh, we say things how we see them. Meatloaf was terrible a few months back (part of his overall decline I think from when I first saw him in concert 15 years ago) and no matter how much you love Stevie, it certainly wasn't her best performance.

I just watched it a couple more times, and I still don't think it's that awful. But anyway I can't take the rose-colored glasses off. I think she's great even on her worst days, which I truly don't think this was.

Rational thought comes and goes with me, SN-wise, but this is how I feel about her just now too! It's a good thing you can't punch people on twitter. I'd have been arrested six times before breakfast yesterday.

I just watched the X Factor performance for the first time and I have to say that after all these years of being a Stevie fan and witnessing all of her ups and downs I personally am happy with her performance! She seemed happy and smiled often and she never sang in a monotone as has happened in the past. I don't know where the drug references come from but I assume it's because Stevie talks about her history with drugs in most of her interviews and she closes her eyes a lot while she is singing but she's always done that. Also, she usually makes eye contact with one member of the audience but when she's on TV, I guess she feels like she has to engage with more people and maybe that's why she looks around more. As the saying goes, "You can please some of the people some of the time but not ALL of the people ALL of the time"!

Also I have to add. I give Stevie at 63 credit for continue to perform at that age. some woman at that age are grannies. {Sorry Stevie} And getting ready to collect social security checks and hanging around at the local senior center playing bingo. God willing . I hope she's will be still performing at 73 or 83 to that matter. And I hope I can still drive to her concerts.

Ouch. So much for the sheep and goat jokes. She honked her way through this thing on a flat gravel road. Make way for the goose references.
The last year has been full of stellar performances, but this was the worst I have heard her sound since I don't know when. Too painful for a second listen.
She did look pretty though. That's something.

I'm only critiscising her because I know she is still able to perform at the highest level. But I call into question her choice to keep singing SL, even though it's a train wreck every time. With every performance of that song her credibility goes down, not up.

They never work. Honestly, they will be her undoing in the end. She will be a 95 year old woman fiddling with her ears and her pocket, long after the music has died.

3 Wishez Interview

http://www.popsugar.com.au/Interview...d-Day-20431066

Which celebrity guest star gave the best advice?

Joe: From us, we got the best advice from Stevie Nicks. As an artist she’s sold more than 140 million albums.

Fred-Day: And she was part of one of the biggest groups of all time, so that was helpful. And we love Ronan so much. If it wasn’t for Ronan we definitely wouldn’t be here now. He’s helped grow 3 Wishez — he is a part of 3 Wishez, he always will be, because he was the one who made our dreams come true.

Yes I agree. The problem is the song -It is true that it simply is not great live- and the choice of the single off the album. Shes marketing the single and has to perform it but it should not have been the first single. It a lovely old song but for a perfomance on primetime tv when she is working so hard to have an impact it is the wrong choice. Most performers have their most marketable or best song as a single. Somebody got it wrong. I dont think shes out of it at all shes just trying really hard to get it right and make it more dynamic.

^^^^ This i agree with %110. Stevies management / People? should of used Moonlight as THE song to promote IYD's, not Secret Love!!!! its a nice song, but its definatly not a hit song that will draw people into buying tickets or IYD's. Its a darn shame!! and an absolute carbon copy from when TISL & they chose Everyday as the first single, there were a heap of great songs on that they could of chosen.. Unfortunately they once again dropped the ball big time.. & that is SOOOO disappointing to say the least.. end of rant!! lol,

This is SO true. I am soooooooooo proud to be a fan. and WANT people to know her for the awesome **** she can dish out on stage. Coz i personally think she sounds better live. But she is going to win NO fans from that performance. and that makes me sad and annoyed. coz that song SUCKS live. from all the performances i've seen of it on TV. she could have down a cut up version of Moonlight. THAT would have won over more people.

it wasn't the hand moves that freaked people out. i think it was her yelling the song out
