I was wondering about this last night. Anderson Cooper was making fun of David Gergen's article on George Clooney and it reminded that Lindsey was going to be featured. Thanks for telling us when.

Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham: 'We Had No Business Being in a Band Together'

WALTER SCOTT ASKS...Lindsey Buckingham

The musician, 61, is currently on tour promoting his new solo album, Seeds We Sow.

Is there any music we’d be surprised to know you listen to?

I got into college radio about a year and a half ago. Frankly, I was just looking for something to hear in the car besides Katy Perry, who my kids like.

What do you think of Bill Hader’s portrayal of you on Saturday Night Live?
I was complimented! He has me down, even to the red shirt I wore on the last Fleetwood Mac tour. It was very funny.

How is the band getting along now?

There is still emotional residue. It’s a work in progress, and there is something beautiful in that. We had no business being in a band together, but our differences meshed.

His kids like Katy Perry? Wow, that must make him die a little inside.

He's been saying the Katy Perry thing a lot. I wonder how involved he is in the listening experience. Like, does he try to "get" her and ponder her lyrics? Has he been to her live shows with the daughters? Does he watch the videos with a blank expression, or more a over what he's seeing/hearing, or does he just sort of avoid everything he can about KP for his own sanity?

In any case, I must say I do not get KP and I have made no effort to try doing so. Gaga I will accept, though she's far more amusing and seems more interesting on a whole. I really just don't know what is going on with some music these days, but some of it is excellent...and yes LB has it right about some college radio, not all.

i wouldn't belabor it too much. on Morning Joe, both Mika and Joe (who both have young kids) mentioned it first and then he just said - yeah that's it. Katy Perry is HUGE with little girls! my daughter and all her little gfs listen to her. she stops me from changing radio station if by some chance KP comes on. if you have young kids, she's pretty much unavoidable. but i don't really know her songs or her lyrics etc...she does seem a bit tongue-in-cheek about her carrier and i do kinda like the whole KP/Russel Brand couple thing - seems like that would be one interesting relationship...

and although Gaga is just as huge and my daughter does like some of her stuff, she has a very different image and different demographic. plus Gaga is in fact a musician, when you strip all the character that she puts on the top of all that - just listen to her acoustic versions of newer songs, with just her on piano.
