Because rather than the somewhat casual attitude most people have in voting on this, for some reason the people pushing YMBTO have invested emotionally in it. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up coming down to Moonlight vs. YMBTO (which is baffling to me) with the YMBTO lovers suddenly finding all kinds of "faults" with Moonlight.

I have to say I'm starting to feel the same way. At first I thought it was kind of cute that some people were so passionate about it, but now it seems obsessive.

First off, this is The Ledge. Why take things so seriously? The ones complaining about this game seem more obsessed with it, than the ones just having fun with it.

Guys, it's just a song! I, for example, can't really say why i love one song more than an other. Plus Moonlight is also about Buckingham.

Okay, I like YMBTO as much as anyone...

But it should not be in the next round, imo. If I had it my way the top 2 would be Annabel Lee and Moonlight but I would be perfectly content with FWIW and Moonlight as well. However, YMBTO.. no. As much as I love it.

I think that most of her songs are about the lovely Lindscrafter, including Moonlight, so I'm not sure why that would be a factor.

You know, the way this poll is constructed, I really don't think you can shove anything down anyone's throat. We used to do a poll on fmlegacy where you could rate a song in points and it did make me a little distressed when Matt or Chili would give songs very low points like even a 0, to insure that they couldn't win. But there's less room for such machinations here.

First, this is funny, second it is also true. This you may be the one OBSESSION is crazy! All manner of other tracks have been thrown under the bus for it , died in the line of duty to sacrifice themselves for you may be the one, atrocious crimes and inglorious atrocities against music have been committed all in the name of you may be the one! I mean I like the song as much as the next person, well unless of course the next person is completely obsessed. But y'all. Are actin like you may be the one HAS DIED FOR OUR SINS!

And I think that people are just obsessing over it because it is about her and freekin Buckingham. if you connect personally to the LYRICS of this song then I get that But don't tell me that you don't like country music, And then are obsessed with the song, If that is the case you might try listening to some more country. ALSO Don't try to tell me that this is her greatest vocal ever, Because I've heard her use more voice inflection in interviews. She herself admits that she talksang this. That bothers me because I know that her voice is capable of so much more. The girls harmony is superb. Especially on the chorus I think the chorus is fantastic. I also love the line I used to love you so much, because she sings it like she means it. Dave's guitar in this is typical country, and nothing spectacular. And as much as I enjoy hearing her talk The verses are just her talking, and I think that's what gets. that for me and not in a good way.
Are you kidding? If any song has been shoved down people's throats it's Annabelle Lee. The song didn't even appear as a song that could be kicked off until other songs were kicked off. It was saved. Moonlight was the song to save, since it's almost always considered the best song from this album.

Annabelle Lee is way tooo long and her voice is the moast goaty on it, although not terrible. It's not as sophisticated as You May Be the One and it doesn't have the great ending. You May Be the One is a GREAT song.

Sorry but the 'starving child" line in particular kind of kills it for me ..maybe we can blame that one on Dave..."Annabel Lee" is one of Stevie's top 10 solo tracks ever IMO the production is top notch and the drums are the best on a Stevie song since Seven Wonders.

I don't rate songs based on sophistication. I don't even know how you would determine how sophisticated a song is.

Annabel Lee has an amazing track, the production is super, the music is wonderful, it has that amazing interlude, and it's melody/chord structure wise it's rather complex for something Stevie wrote herself.

Indeed..and it's also kind of interesting that in the great reviews this album recieved like Rolling Stone for example Annabel Lee was cited as a stand out track, many others mentioned FWIW ..not one single one even mentioned YMBTO yet the first two have more votes.Kind of an interesting phenomenon we have here.
