I know at Chastain, people buy Series passes for the whole summer. Which basically means, they spend thousands of dollars and buy passes that guarantee them a certain seat for all the concerts that summer. They get seats before everyone else and can also upgrade their seats if better ones become available for a certain concert.

I think that those people get good seats just for the heck of it, and/or give tickets they don't want to their friends.

Yeah, i'm pretty positive PNC by me does the same season pass sort of thing. Probably all the venues owned by LiveNation do. What a shame because it lessens the experience for those who really try to make the most of it.

She stood up most of the time just out of like, courtesy, but she just stood there. I was like.. what. I figured she would at least know EO17, Dreams, Rhiannon, Landslide, GDW, Stand Back, L&L.. I figured she had to know ONE OF THOSE.

She didn't.

I was appalled.
OMG. I had to read this like 5 times to make sure it said what I thought it said. UNBELIEVABLE! Curious if she has ever listened to radio or TV? Or is she pulling your leg? I'm truly amazed and intrigued

Once in a while I'll have someone confuse or interchange Fleetwood Mac with Stevie Nicks or vice-versa but to not recognize ANY of those songs. WOW.

I think it is basically an age thing .Anyone 45 or more who doesn't know who Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks are or recognize the hits from that era were either in a coma in the last half of the 1970s and the first half of the 1980s or are developmentally disabled.

They have something at Disneyland that makes the cell phones go dead when you're in rides. I wish they had those in concert halls. Nothing pisses me off more then when I'm at a concert or a movie and someone whips out a cell phone.

...or they are from abroad. I had to explain NOTS to a French and a Hungarian some time ago. It was very hard to explain...

Or were diehard country fans. No joke, I know someone who knows who Fleetwood Mac is but couldn't tell you one song by them but if I asked her a question about chart positions of country songs from the 80s she could probably tell me.

How is that unfair?

I'm not even kidding about this. I know a music director at a country station I can't talk music with unless we talk country and only country. I've tried. She gets about as far as the names of groups and that's it. And every time I try she says that she only listened to country back then and she only listens to country now. It's no wonder she ended up in country radio...

I'm not saying all country fans are that way. If that were true, then I wouldn't know anything about Fleetwood Mac.

I'm sorry but country music isn't really country music. It's borderline classic rock and pop. I think what they mean is the album sounds slick. Well, I have purchased plenty of country albums where it just sounded bland. You get one nice single and the rest are indistinguishable songs that all sound the same. Stevie's album is varied. I don't buy country albums anymore.

This comment bothers me, because besides Allison Krauss and a few other country artists, I find country music to be bland. I like Mean by Taylor Swift, but the rest of her songs off her new album only stay with you because they get played to death on the radio. It's pretty bland stuff. If Italian Summer and some other songs were edited and got a ton of airplay everyone would see things differently.

I'm also getting sick of groups like Bon Jovi getting airtime on country radio. I liked a few of their songs in the 1980s but even then they were just rock 101. It's gross to me that they have been championed on country radio. They haven't really wrote country songs. Stevie has.

The country radio popularity thing has everything to do with MTV and VH1. They quit playing rock videos in the mid to late 1990s and concentrated on Soul and Rap and all that jazz. CMT and some other country television stations concentrated on country. No one is playing classic rock videos. As a result, country, soul, dance and rap songs kept getting requested and rock died. There is nowhere for Stevie to go. She has four songs on her new album that should be getting a ton of airplay on country radio, but I'm sure the "witch" persona is stopping that.

That's what I meant. Since I grew up a die hard country fan I wouldn't fall into that category though. Granted, it's probably true for the majority or at least a certain generation or maybe we're just people who appreciate good music regardless of genre.

I have to agree.Rock music is dead.No or alittle mainstream airplay.if the rock artists do get their new stuff played. You got to tune in a classic rock station to hear it.
Yes todays country music is not my cup of tea.Mix rap crap into country does not work for me.MTV.CMT.VH1 stinks now.
I had not buy a new country cd since 2006.Which was Carrie Underwood. That was a gift for my late sister for Christmas or her birthday.
