Sadly, yes that's EXACTLY the case. The last three things to come out of Fleetwood Mac are two live albums, neither having too much new to offer, and a studio album, which had two previously released songs. Given their lack of diversity in their sets, I don't really see the need. Judging by LIB, all we'd get is new songs on DVD, NOT CD with a bunch of old songs we already have. Do we need another live version of "Dreams" or "Go Your Own Way"??? Because, that's EXACTLY what we'd get.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

So, by saying it's going to be an EP, they're not over-committing to something they're not 100% confident in.
I think that is a very feasible theory! Lindsey has stated that the idea of an outside producer is possibility. It would take the burdon off of him, and would serve as a balance between him and Stevie.

When Rumours sold up-teen million albums, this outcome was fated.

Okay, but "Second Hand News" was on "Rumours", too.

Here's what was on the LIB CD, and why I tend to hate most of it:

1. Eyes Of The World -Good choice, actually.
2. Dreams -Fleetwood Mac Live; The Dance
3. Rhiannon -Fleetwood Mac Live; The Dance
4. Come -GREAT choice
5. Big Love -The Dance
6. Landslide -Fleetwood Mac Live; The Dance
7. Silver Springs -The Dance
8. I'm So Afraid -Fleetwood Mac Live; The Dance
9. Stand Back -The Chain
10. Go Your Own Way -Fleetwood Mac Live; The Dance

Here's what it SHOULD have had:
1. Eyes Of The World
2. Peacekeeper
3. Second Hand News
4. Say You Will
5. Never Going Back Again (full band version, very different from FM Live)
6. Come
7. Say Goodbye
8. What's The World Coming To?
9. Beautiful Child (criminal in its exclusion)
10. World Turning
11. Don't Stop (different with Stevie)
12. Goodbye Baby

It would've been different enough from Fleetwood Mac Live and The Dance to make it worth everybody's time.

I agree with ya... LIB is, for me, sub par to The Dance. I think LIB should've showcased the bands current line up and their strengths without Christine.

I absolutely agree. The live version is stunning and I wish it was on the CD. I keep meaning to rip the audio actually.

Now, about David Stewart producing, because this has turned into another "oh noes they didn't do wut they shoulda" thread.

Sadly not much has changed during my two years off.
