I'm so angry I've missed Stevie's last two TV appearances! I'm a bad fan!

Will Stevie's Leno appearance appear somewhere...on uTube perhaps? I checked. It's not there yet.

Looked out the window
We watched the cars fly by
I look at you and I start to cry
What you did was you saved my life
I won't forget it

Why is she leaving out this verse? It's the best part of the song IMO. Is it just a time issue? Same thing for AGT.

Thanks! But I did find it on another site. One in which the writer apparently wants only a stagnent Stevie. I hate this limited mindset:

It’s too bad Stevie Nicks didn’t pick out a classic Fleetwood Mac track to perform on Jay Leno’s show last night (July 28). Let’s face it, who really wants to hear a song from her recently released solo album, In Your Dreams? Wouldn’t we rather revel in the glossy coke-fueled excesses of “Dreams” or “Sara”? Yes, of course we would, but instead we have to make do with the pallid “For What It’s Worth,” which is such a transparent attempt to recreate past glories that Lindsey Buckingham must have been thiknig about calling his lawyer. Nicks is still in great voice, which is something at least—you just might want to look away as she tries to act out the actions she sings about in the song with her hands. [via The Audio Perv]

I don't get the "transparent attempt to recreate past glories." Most "legendary" artists usually are treated with more respect, and are more accepting of their new work. And all the pandering to an ancient past is really getting tired, especially phrases like "coke-fueled excesses." By the way, Stevie is looking and sounding great. She appears more healthy and much thinner than she has in years past.

Very good performance from Stevie on Leno, I thought. She looked really happy and into the song. And I think I must be having a wobbly day, but when I think back over some of the times in her life, I just think it's great that this is where she is right now. She inspires me.

Obviously one of the a-holes that only want to hear the classics over and over. How the hell else is she supposed to promote new material? ?

She did a great job.

In the words of Rick Nelson, ".....but if memories are all I sing, I rather drive a truck."

Stevie Nicks turned up on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night to perform a lovely rendition of "For What It's Worth," a selection from the Fleetwood Mac singer's latest solo album In Your Dreams. "I got to sing, I got to dance, I got to be part of a great romance," she sings with a great big smile. Nicks does a lot of her classic witchy-woman moves, but the most endearing moment of this performance comes near the beginning, when you can see her strumming some air guitar along with the band before her vocals come in.

I really do love FWIW but I can't help but wish they had released "In Your Dreams" as the next single. That song rocks and could be a tremendous amount of fun live...with Stevie rocking out on tambo, of course. I'm not knocking FWIW, but I just feel "In Your Dreams" live would have made a much stronger impact on TV. Not sure about radio, though.

I liked her performance on Leno better than the other, but I have a problem being cut short. The song is already short edited and she doesn't get to repeat the sing and dance lines again on these performances. Still, this song and her performances come out as heartfealt. She is putting everything into it. She really is doing great this summer and she looks so damb happy.

I totally agree with your comment. In "Your Dreams" is a great, catchy tune, and it would have also been a great promotion for the CD "In Your Dreams." It's a no brainer to me.

I don't really feel that song but I love whenever she wears fluttery chiffon and the boots instead of that other stiff stuff.

yeah, it has all the elements of a fantastic stage song and I think Stevie and the band could play the crap out of it! It would definitely have the audience clapping and on their feet! Well, maybe it will be the third single, if there is one...

Not much to say...she looked adorable and I love the tan boots. Nice change from the black pants. I still think last night's performance blew this one away but it didn't have much to do with Stevie herself. The knocking motions are a bit too much. We get it honey!

Do people really think this way? When I heard Stevie was going to be on Leno and AGT I was sure she was going to sing Landslide at least once. My face lit up when she didn't! Even though For What It's Worth isn't my favorite, it's so nice to hear her singing something new.
