J'adore Dynasty! Especially when Fallon#1 was still around, but lord knows Joan Collins kept it fun until the end. Television hasn't given us nearly enough middle-aged women slap fighting in evening gowns since then since then.

![]() I think Will Smith said once his most memorable season of Knots was when that couple stole Val's babies. It was 1985 I believe and I couldn't have been but 11 but I think half the nation was tuned in to see Valene get those babies back! It was nail biting to watch ![]() Last edited by fringed n fab; 07-23-2011 at 09:58 AM.. |

Gosh, this backlash against Sharon Osbourne / The Talk for promoting misandry...

Besides, all of my post's are usually tame. I think things I would never say. My mother is all hot and bothered that they're bringing Dallas back. She's insisting that I watch all 14 seasons with her. I'm kind of looking forward to it. ![]()

I think it's over her comment that she would have whacked the Governator's manly bits off if he were her husband.
I don't watch the Talk, but she was probably half joking, no? Even if she wasn't, the accusations floating around the web that she was "inciting women to sexual violence" are more ridiculous than her show is.

Apparently it was on the news, that some dude divorced his wife and so she drugged him, tied him up, waited until he was awake then lobbed off his - .... well you know - and chucked it in the garbage disposal, and apparently everyone on The Talk, Sharon Osbourne especially found it hilarious and "empowering to women" or something...
Don't know much about it just that there's a lot of dudes out for Sharon Osbourne's head on a pike at the moment. |

I used to love Dynasty in the mid 80s! I was allowed to stay up late one night a week to watch it!!

lol I always pictured Texas as being like the show "Dallas". Big estates and open fields of cattle. If it weren't for Louie's pics he shares I'd still be thinking that. This is why showing others where you live is good and enlightening.

Holy crap. Count me as embarrassed!
They're both '80s soap operas which start with a 'D'! ![]()

I've seen the trailer for the new Dallas and am suitably impressed. Patrick Duffy has said that he, Linda Gray and Larry Hagman were approched countless times for a new tv or movie version but they always said no because they didn't need the money and so would only do it if they wanted to and would enjoy it and liked the scripts. He's been praising the new scripts, obviously... I'm excited about it but please, NO dream sequences! Dynasty was just not for me though!

about 3 weeks ago I attempted suicide for the first time, unsuccessfully at that. I had thoughts of attempting suicide for the second time on July 16th, so I ended up in the ER at the hospital in the town I live in, and have since been in a state mental hospital facility dealing with the issues that brought me to the point of possibly ending my life.
Been staying positive and hanging in there and trying to improve my outlook on life. I have met many people here who have also been through much worse than I and that has given me strength to make a recovery... Cheers!!! THE Brian j.
