Poor Stevie...it's heartbreaking that she is sick at such a highlighted time in her career...you can tell she is just as crushed about all of the missed opportunities for this album because of getting sick and put every ounce of energy she had into this performance. I actually thought this performance was very good and loved seeing her sense of humor come out with Ellen ! Crossing my fingers everyday she reschedules the east coast dates SOON!

Default Nice...and thanks.

Thanks for posting that CADreaming. I had not seen it, so greatly appreciated. I thought she sounded good, although not up to par to the Oprah show (I seem to differ in that respect to many others, I thought Oprah she sounded and looked great!), but you can definitely tell that she is ill.

For being ill, and still recording this show, she did great in that sense. When I'm ill, I'm a baby, home in bed.

Really good performance...and I also differ from many others because I am a fan of the song (Secret Love)!

She looked great Stevie looks awesome in red.
Some could... She needs something to occupy her hands... I know.. Grab the tambourine you've been neglecting!

Thanks for posting this. I missed out recording it on the DVR. Stevie sounded a little rough, but sexy. Ellen with that shield thingy LOL.

Default Stevie on Ellen

Thanks so much for posting. I have to say I also give her alot of credit for performing because she clearly was still sick. I have doubts that she could do an entire show. It just might set her back. That happened back in 2001 on the TISL tour, and she was ten years younger then.
We expect perfection from her, she is just human after all. I know alot of people on this board were disappointed when she cancelled in NY, but I truly believe that she dosent cancel shows lightly. Stevie showed what a gracious person she is on this brief clip. I dont feel she owes me anything because I am a fan.
In fact, even if she dosent tour behind this new CD, it would be a shame, but I can play this music all I want. And that's a gift that dosent fade away.

I wonder if Stevie and WB are planning on doing a slow burn/build-up with this album. Stevie did say she planned on "being with this album" for awhile, and "Secret Love" is still moving up the AC chart.

Class act, right here!
I know, from experience how taxing pneumonia can be, and I must say, Stevie was a real trouper for pulling through. She is visibly feeling weak at the end of the performance, yet she pulled it off with true Stevie class! Another reason to love this woman!

LOL what would this board be without people nitpicking Stevie to death? I thought it was a fine performance. She probably wanted to perform the new songs at the concerts she had to cancel before doing them for the first time on TV. I do agree they need to get a new single out soon. She does look great and her interaction with Ellen was both adorable and funny.

She looks adorable. And how ironic that I work on the lot 3 stages over and couldn't
go! I even have friends on the crew. But we tape at the same time and I was running my show and couldn't leave.

There's always the Wiltern!

Direct download of Stevie's performance "Secret Love" on Ellen. It's in HD. They also talk after the song, mostly about Stevie being sick. Whole segment is about 5 1/2 minutes.

In most of these I removed the Ellen and station logos.

Three cheers from me for every word of this, my friend! I can't believe people are still being bitchy and cynical about whether she's ill or what she has/had. Just look up 'pneumonia' and you'll see that it's a formal diagnosis that covers a very wide range of debilitation.

I feel dead sorry for everyone who's got major plans and money outlaid for concerts that are still up in the air, though.

The black is just boring anymore.
This. I love her just for the mere fact of the red dress and those awesome boots.

Now, just don't cancel my show on Saturday, Stevie...

I hated having to wait so long to see her. Almost the whole hour with J-Lo. But with Stevie being under the weather, she may not have wanted a sit down interview. I loved the red dress and I thought she sounded great. I could tell she wasn't 100% but anyone that didn't know she had been ill probably couldn't tell. I'm not crazy about the arm gestures. It's too much. I'd rather she just hold on to the mic stand. I loved the little interview. Stevie was so sweet. And gracious. Thanking Ellen and Rod for letting her promote her music. They were probably thrilled to have her.
