I am amazed to hear about the after show meet and greet with the fans. Sounds like it was a very casual gathering, which is totally super cool. I'm impressed and hope Lindsey sees fit to do more after show mingling. Maybe I'll see about hanging out after the Portland show. Thanks for sharing such a great story with us!

I'm so jealous! This isn't the Lindsey that was at the Ryman in Nashville. God, I'm so pissed that he wasn't like this in Nashville. The aliens must have brought him back.
Congratulations to those of you who are seeing him as he really is.

Your pictures were great. Very clear. Honesty, I have never taken a camera to a concert. I really just like to jam along to the music, but I was so friggen jealous of all these people taking such great pictures of Lindsey that I thought I'd try. He is phenomenal live, though, so even if you can't take pics or your cameras taken away you'll still have a f*ckin' great time.

He was soooooooooooooooooooooooo sweet. Love him. I just love his tone of voice. It cracked me up when he came out, "Oh my goodness" and then the backward taken-aback movement. So cute!

Well, you are a bit more lucky than I was. Security hijacked my batteries during "Not Too Late", which was the first song. Thing that I didn't get was LB's photographers said it was fine for me to take pics without flash, but I saw one of them on a walkie and then security came up, so i think one of them called on me.
I wish i had a cameraphone, lol. I do not believe they can take phones or phone batteries. After I talked to a different security guard, he told me it was LB's people, so, that was that. I had friends in Cleveland for the show and they were a bit disappointed that LB didnt hang out after. Someone told them he (LB) had not signed ANYTHING this tour as of Clevelands date, so i was a bit sad and at first wasn't going to take my guitar for him to sign, but I did at the last minute. Having been to the Taft on numerous occassions, I knew that any artist that plays there has to exit onto the street to leave (there is no ... "backstage" there) so during the encore, my wife and I left to go to the car and get the guitar. Waited for close to an hour, but it was worth the wait as he came out and seemed almost ... humbled/appreciative/awestruck by the fans waiting for him. I wish I could remember everyone I talked to outside, but my memory is terrible, lol I also wish I had batteries in the camera as I do not have a photo of him signing the guitar, lol. He signed the guitar and commented on it's beauty and asked if I had taken it off the stage, lol. He was, without a shadow of a doubt, the most humble, courteous, down to earth "celeb" I have ever met and with this being my first LB show, I was on cloud nine and am still on cloud nine. I started listening to LB when OOTC came out and have been a fan since and now I got to not only meet my idol but got his signature on the guitar I made and that, my friends, is something I will cherish forever. BTW, I retired the guitar from playing and am going to mount it above my mantel. I gave it the proper goodbye and played my last song on it the next day. That song was Never Going Back Again, which was very fitting. |

I'm so thrilled to hear of all these interactions with LB! I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that the wife was not with him during these shows, because he appears to be much less forthcoming when she is. Don't flame me, just MHO from what I've observed.

I was there, and had a great time! I'll give credit where it is due, and "Bwana" is exactly the type of thing we need more of. It was barely rehearsed, totally last-minute, and was the most "fresh" moment I've ever seen at a show involving Lindsey Buckingham. This is the type of thing many of us have been begging for, and he listened. Let's hope it continues.

I think it was the perfect thing to say and if his eyes met yours as you have described I would say he did too.
