I am uncertain about popularity. Unless you mean more people talk to him in a civil manner. Maybe that is it. Minus the political disagreements, that disclosure may have allowed some people to see a common ground to have less hostile exchanges. So maybe that spells popularity in terms of more conversations.

Sparky was expressing his personal experiences and perceptions, which he explained well. I was making a generalized statement, which has already been expounded upon by others, that was not necessarily applicable to everyone. I believe my generalization to hold true for the most part, although I wasn't attempting to make any kind of deep social commentary with it.

I think the responses to my remark show that some people take themselves way too seriously. I can't judge, however, because I am guilty of that myself sometimes. In spite of that, I will go ahead and say we all should lighten up. Not to the degree of Care Bears, but to the degree that we are able to laugh at ourselves.

awww...thank you! The ledgies I have actually talked to outside of the ledge have gotten my full explanation of where I was coming from when I first started posting here! It sort of became a drug...getting people enraged and driving them crazy. It just got a little out of hand sometimes…
