Uploaded to here.
Interesting that when this interview was conducted, Lindsey was willing to tour for 'Tango in the Night' ("I'll do whatever needs to be done") and how 1987 was "gonna be a good year". But in some other interview (done after he left the band?), he said that making 'Tango' was a horrible experience with everyone at their worst, and he couldn't imagine wanting to go on tour with them. |

Why don't you just post the text here? Is the link monetized for you or something?
Seriously curious...

![]() I don't make a penny doing this. These are uploaded to my personal Google Drive which doesn't monetize. In fact, it's a hassle scanning, editing, and then making a PDF out of these old articles. I only put them up as these haven't seen the light of day in decades, and I thought it'll be cool to share. And I can't just 'post the text' as they're scans. |

This person is being kind enough to scan physical copies of old magazines and upload the images for people's enjoyment. If you know of a more reader-friendly way of doing that that is just as easy for the poster, is there a way you could suggest that without implying a grift? It is tacky as hell.
Thank you greendaze5! I have been enjoying your uploads. |

I’m not convinced with Lindsey words, about Mirage was an “ambiguous album” and didn’t want to leave the Fleetwood Mac situation with Mirage. He, they, did Tango to help Mick, not for the band legacy. And from all articles I have read he was under strain and lost patience frequently.
I guess he said all that because at the interview moment he was in the mood to promote the album. It’s like when any artist release a new album, they usually say “this our best work ever!”.

Thanks for the share, greendaze5. These uploads bring back a lot of memories for me, including the photos that ran in the article. I had forgotten that Lindsey talked a little about sitting down with Brian and getting frustrated. AND he mentions “Walking in the Rain,” which I had forgotten about. Everyone, you need to listen to the Ronettes sing “Walking in the Rain,” which is absolutely gorgeous. It is so Lindsey that it’s uncanny. If you don’t think Lindsey was thinking about “Walking in the Rain” when he recorded “D.W. Suite,” you’re crazy!

I remember this article coming out. What I noticed is no new band photos and the photo for each member comes from an older shoot or tour.
I remember being shocked at how dismissive Lindsey seemed about the prospect of continuing with FM, and that worried me. By 1987 I’d figured out he was key to the band’s sound and that his energy would buoy them in concert. I also was counting on this album returning the band to a certain momentum, where every two years they put out an album, so I was neither pleased nor surprised when a few months later I heard on the radio that he quit and was replaced. It crushed me. |

Yes, I remember it the same way. There was no internet and we had to rely on “print coverage” for any updates. I remember looking for any information I could possibly find on the status of the band. Stevie’s interviews always stating “ I won’t leave my band” during her solo explosion from 1981-1983 kept the hope up but little did I know it was Lindsey that always had one foot out the door. Thrilled for Mirage….Surprised with Tango because of the pre press… was ..Where is Stevie? …and then Lindsey leave as the band. |

I enjoyed this because I never saw this article before. Its so revealing because its right before Lindsey leaves. You can read between the lines that Lindsey is not happy. He says "Stevie had her problems without being judgmental" LMAO
She was hard to pin down. She felt she had to go to Australia for some reason LMAO
