The ALAYF suggestion made me think of Landslide too. I think Landslide definitely could be a Christmas song. A melancholy one like River, a time of year to take stock of seasons come and gone. Or you could say the song is about outgrowing a belief in Santa Claus.

I played ALAYF the other day! It totally reminds me of the holiday. I remember when it was released and played on VH1.
