Yes. Little Lies was released as a single in late August. It was still high on the charts when the formal announcement of his leaving the band was published in a late September issue of ROLLING STONE.

Everywhere was released in early 1988. Two videos: one with and one without band members.

Hold Me is one of those songs that the first time you hear it, you know its a big hit. It does not need to grow on you. Its the perfect pop song yet not a simple pop song. There are so many intricate layers that make it so good. The piano beginning, the catchy lyrics, the percussion, and the catchy chorus.
I remember Christine stating the song came together so fast and the lyrics just flowed. The song is complicated to do live and needs Lindsey. However Chris's solo live version is still the best live rendition of the song ever. YES, IMHO its even better than the Buck/Vie version with Lindsey on lyrics and the piped in backing vocals. Chris's band really nailed it and made it look easy without piping in backing vocals.

Yeah, didn't it almost go to number 1? You couldn't get away from Christine from 1982-1984. She and Stevie (WildHeart) were all over the radio. Then Everywhere and Little Lies hit us again in 1987. As Long As You Follow in 1988, Save Me in 1990.

It peaked at #4 on US billboard pop charts. Ironically so did Little Lies. Billy Idol's Mony Mony sort of blocked Little Lies from rising further. Dont Stop is Christine's biggest chart topper reaching #3 on US Billboard.

I forget the songs but both Hold Me and Gypsy got stuck with unusual long term songs that stayed at #1 which clogged the top 10.

Eye of the Tiger was the biggest one at that time.
There were so many classic songs that hung around the top ten at the time of Hold Me.
