It's save to say that Stevie does not handle grieve very good and that she makes irrational decisions when grieving.
I totally agree with this.
I saw the similarities between the two situations as well. It's almost creepy how it's nearly the exact same scenario.

I think she went off the deep end after her mom died. That’s when she really started blowing off Fleetwood Mac.

But as she said in 2013 that her mother passing actually brought her and LB closer together, which was a positive outcome. That is probably normal grieving behaviour, cling and hold on to those close to you that remain in your life......the extreme opposite of that is to punish them and get them sacked from their big machine livelihood

Looking for nice Mac milestones dates in the web, unfortunately I found today was the day the band announced Lindsey was fired, or so I read. Unlucky me, this made me remember this ugly moment . And while April was the month Rumours went No. 1, it doesn't seem to be a good month for the band historically. It was also the month Peter announced he was leaving.

Clearly Christine's death did nothing to make them see sense or that life is short and to put grudges behind them. At least for her, it seemed to do the opposite. All these deaths I think just reinforced her belief that she should listen to herself and only herself even if people around her think her decisions aren't great. Each death seems to have reinforced her belief that hers is the only opinion that matters.

I don't know about them, but in my very personal experience, those who are very emotional during grief, say things they may genuinely mean, but it only lasts during that period. I don't usually take them seriously unless they confirm them after a while.
