Default Sad Angel

Sad Angel just came on my iPod and of course I had to stop what I was doing and crank up the volume. I still think that is one heck of a great Fleetwood Mac song. I'm now sure it won't be released with the new album ( before I thought it might) I guess those 4 songs from the EP will go down in history as tracks that "didn't make an album"

Hi Bly,
Well, regardless what history thinks, I believe it is a great track and always turn it up too

I love the song, too, AND it sounded great live AND was very well-received by the audiences.

I feel sure it will turn up on some future recording. I'm not sure whether it will be on the proposed album, but it could be (a la Bleed To Love Her). If not, then surely another box-set wont be too far away.
Edit: but yes, I agree it is a terrific song- a relatively rare example of a new song that works straight away within a live set.

I am struggling to imagine what would go on a box set that has not already been on a compilation... some stuff from SYW and the Extended Play songs?

I'm sure this band can always find a new angle to release a compilation.
I'd envisage a compilation after the 'forthcoming' new studio album.
That would mean (since The Chain) Time, The Dance, Say You Will, Extended Play, New Album. If they can bang out a new album in 2016, as they've alluded to, then another retrospective box set could be released to celebrate 50 years in 2017. It could just an updated version of 'The Chain: 25 years' with an additional disc.

It's sad that Sad Angel exists only in the ether as a digital track; it deserves a physical presence on an album. Perhaps it will eventually be featured on a future compilation (an updated box set?), along with the other tracks. Otherwise, those EP songs will become overlooked/forgotten footnotes.

Also, I've not been able to find a lossless digital version of this for sale. I'm quite sure they didn't mix and master it with MP3 stems and renders - please make the lossless FLAC/AIFF/WAV final render available!

I LOVE Sad angel and honestly would like to see ALL of the songs from EP on an actual album. I thought all 4 of them were amazing! It makes me sad to think, like someone else mentioned, that those songs might just be forgotten. They would be perfect for a new album; especially if, God forbid, Stevie doesn't end up contributing to said record...

Sad Angel is an awesome song...so much energy! It's one of my favorite current FM songs. They should do it live and replace it one of the songs that they've sung a gazillion times.

I love the song now but when it first came out I could barely understand what he was saying. I love how stevie thought and sung "Hello, Hello Said Angel". Stevie did not get enough input in Extended Play.

Easily the best of the 4 tunes on there. I definitely wouldn't mind if they put this on the next album and added Christine's vocals. The production on this is great, so I don't think Lindsey and Stevie would have to re-sing their parts.

I love this song too. It was one of my favorites on the 2013 tour.

Yeah. GREAT track! Rather than an EP though I thought they should have put those four songs as exclusives on a new Greatest Hits package, or as a bonus CD to go with a live album. I really want a new Fleetwood Mac live album and blu ray/CD set from the 02 shows. Needs to be done.
