![]() And how has she already done that song? The SA version is just a polished turd compared to the potential of what a fully realized modern take on it could be. |

The only Street Angel version of Mirror Mirror is an unreleased recording circulating amongst fans, first shared here on The Ledge. They are very, very different recordings.

So why do I LOVE this mess? First and foremost, the lyrics. Second, the key change up between the verses and chorus (very 80's, very cool). And finally, the fact that her angry vocal ("In the paintings on the wall, she says, 'There it is'...") IS VERY GRUFF and all over the place. The demo we have seems to skip in places, which sucks because it is a very short song. But I adore it and believe she could turn the muddy mess that I love into a powerhouse rock ballad. BTW - Is there a better, clean copy of "Night Galley" out there? One that doesn't skip? I never heard of anything else regarding this song surfacing when we got all those master reels many years ago. |

I like it. It's a a vehicle for her emotions and it showcases her voice.

I am completely aware of that, but I have never heard a version of Mirror Mirror that didn't still sound like a demo.

Her vocal on the Mirror Mirror version that did make it on a B-side was stellar. I listened to that song just because of vocal. The lyrics are non sensible but the vocal was one of her best ever.

Could somebody please post the version of mirror mirror that was officially released? I don't believe I've ever heard that one. Just about 7 different demos.

I think you nailed it, along with your previous quote:"I wouldn't exactly call it a song. I would call it a sophisticated mood piece with a great vocal. Very dark and delicious."
