Well, yesterday was the first semi-finale. The song made it to the final saturday.

This is how they did it: beautifully produced

Thank you so much for alerting me to this song. Way back when you first posted, I was absolutely hooked and the YouTube video got a good work out. I then actually sat down to watch *all* of Eurovision last night, and I was stoked that they made second place. The song is so damn good and so unEurovision that I can't believe it did so well. Ilse and Waylon were a joy to watch perform, and in the green room given how ecstatic they were every time they got points (Team Austria, on the other hand, needed to ease up on the crying...).

I bought the album last night, and have been listening to it all day. Some of the songs are a little bit more country than I'd normally go for, but they're growing on me. And there are at least four or five songs that are instantly appealing.

I don't think any song on the album tops Calm After the Storm, but it's so close to perfection that it was always going to be a huge ask. The song's getting a fair bit of love here in Australia today, so hopefully more people will get to hear it post-Eurovision.

Thanks again -- best find in quite a while for me!

Hello all---

First, I'd also like to say thanks for sharing this song. I fell in love with it instantly. FM would be lucky to come up with a song like this. It's got that classic McVie bass groove going for it.

For those who are interested, it finally got an official release recently, as did their self-titled album, THE COMMON LINNETS. It's full of lovely two-part harmony. I noticed that it's available on both US iTunes and on Amazon.com.
