What seemed awkward to me was the video element. I doubt it's that awkward to them. Reminds me of a fan review of a Dance show-they said afterward they were allowed backstage to meet the band but only SnL showed. They came in holding hands and sat on a sofa as the fans congratulated them on getting back together - they held hands the entire time while insisting they weren't together & seeing other people. Lol.

I'm sure Stevie and Lindsey are at ease around each other after all this time, it's probably not all that weird for them. Certainly sometimes I'll hold hands with my mother or my sister while we're watching a movie or something and I don't feel awkward, because I'm just so used to them

At this point, regardless of all the history/drama, they're bound to be ~old friends~ enough to the point that they can enjoy and feel comfortable showing affection in that way.

It's just awkward for us because they're holding hands while talking about the fact that they practically were married a million years ago, Lindsey IS married, Stevie has a dog, and every night they relive their love affair onstage

It seemed awkward to me, because I found the whole interaction staged. Not only something they orchestrated, but with Mick consciously aiding too.

Well it's been pretty obvious where they're going with it. The details of that is what they argue about. I'm not sure it was planned to synch though. Like when Stevie had her hand on his wrist - that just seemed like her touchy feely self.

Yeah, when Lindsey grabbed her hand while Mick was talking definitely seemed a bit tongue-in-cheek to me. Stevie's smirk when he did it was hilarious. Plus, when Mick first started saying that he had a component he was rooting for, both Lindsey and Stevie got flashed these knowing looks/smiles. That might just have been because he'd told them before that he wanted them to ham it up & so they knew what was coming, though

The other video seemed pretty natural to me though, like Stevie was just being clingy Of course, that was the video where they cut around a lot so their hand positions kept changing so it's harder to read the body language.

I don't like it and it gives me bad feelings about what sort of manufactured nonsense they'll dream up for the tour itself. I like things to be more organic. You can't beat the Madison night he did push ups. Just the way she was laughing and touching his hair and hands and tripping over her tongue when discussing Stella's birth, saying "we" . . . It was all so spontaneous and genuinely loving. Of course, that's a one time thing, but I'd rather see them just coming back onto the stage for the encore casually holding hands than doing it in such a choreographed manner. You know when they sat down to do that day of interviews that they planned to hold hands at some point during the taping. It annoys me.

You know, I always liked hearing about the spontaneity of the Madison show. What tour was that? Unleashed? Don't think there was video that I've ever seen of that.

The problem is if there IS anything spontaneous that happens, they then realize that IT works and then make it choreographed from there on out.

Well, I do agree with this somewhat.

Mostly because Mick is saying he wants them to do something totally "off the wall" that shows their chemistry but by virtue of PLANNING OUT what they will do... it's not very off the wall, is it? It's choreographed and staged.

I'm all for them choosing songs that feature the dynamics between the two of them musically/vocally or whatever. That would be wonderful and I hope it happens, and I look forward to it if it does.

But as far as their interactions - I'd much rather see them interacting in a natural way rather than something they've planned and repeat night after night.

That said, I did come to enjoy even the planned stuff because it was interesting seeing how it evolved. But it doesn't hold a candle to spontaneous stuff that like you said, stems organically from actual emotions.

I agree with that too. We knew the Sara hug was coming, but I still enjoyed that. In England, even when I was told to put away my camera, there was no way I was not going to get my Sara hug!

I do like to see things change over time. Like with that horrid Tusk dance, Lindsey did stop swinging the cord and they got around to hugging and dancing a lot faster than they had when the tour started. Also, when I first saw SYW there was no stuff going on during Don't Stop, so by the time I saw them again and he started laying his head on her hair that really excited me. I didn't see it when it first happened. It was something that developed in my absence and it really gave me a thrill. Then, it changed more so that she was turning her back for the sole purpose of giving him access to her mane, presenting herself so to speak. That made me go, "hmmm."

So, I do get some fun out of the planned stuff, as you say. I just prefer the other.

There is video. Pattie took it. It was the first show back. They had taken a month or two off from the tour. Stella had been born.

As you say, they do repeat stuff when it gets a good fan reaction, but they couldn't repeat Madison because it happened when the guitar went out. So, it was a lot of fun. Stevie was talking to fill time.

And I agree with your other post as well..I will appreciate and like seeing the evolution of choreographed/staged interactions. It's just not what I and most fans would prefer. Obviously

I might have read this wrong, due to the chopping, but there seemed to be an honest, fun moment after Lindsey said that Without You hadn't been written yet. With the editing, it is unclear, but I would guess that the interviewer said, "You two still argue" and they laughed and Stevie said something like, "not like we used to" and I wished that part had been left intact.
