The song is about Stevie walking out on Lindsey, and I always thought this happened when the band went on the road to support the White Album. My guess is it happened once the album started doing well.

It would be interesting to know if it was '75 or '76. There are several summer dates that FM played on the same bill as The Eagles. I wonder if that is what prompted Lindsey to write GYOW or at least add the second verse.
