Default Rumours: Your favorite songs, grouped by singer

Finally the 1977 album: If you had to choose one group of songs that you like the most, which will you choose? Lindsey’s songs? Stevie’s songs? Christine's songs?

The poll is based on original releases, so Silver Springs is not included.

I'm going to get flamed for loving Oh Daddy.

YMLF
Songbird
Don't Stop
Oh Daddy.

Looking back at those contributions from someone that had already written
Why, Remember Me, Dissatisfied, Come A Little Bit Closer etc...

She was just an amazing singer/songwriter.

Oh Daddy was the my least favorite song when I purchased Rumours back in 1977. Over the years it became one favorites especially after I got the alternative version with Stevie’s voice more prominent.

A three way tie here for me with an edge to Christine and Stevie.

Top picks not ranked:

Songbird
The Chain
GDW
Oh Daddy
Dreams

My least faves but still excellent:

I Don't Want to Know
Second Hand News

Stevie really did do a beautiful vocal on that alt version. I like it better.

same. It definitely grew on me over the years and now its probably my favorite track on the album. Same thing about Only Over You. It was always my least favorite on Mirage. Now its one of my favorites.

Lindsey for me all the way. Go Your Own Way, more than any other song by this version of FM, represents the Fireflies to me. Even over the Chain, which would be second. Lindsey’s guitar, Mick’s drums, John’s bass, Stevie’s vocals, and Lindsey’s vocals are perfection to me. As if that song wasn’t enough, there’s Second Hand News. Lindsey’s songwriting changed after Rumours, and I had no idea sometimes what he was singing about, but here, he’s letting it all out. Throw in his vocals on the Chain, Don’t Stop, and especially I Don’t Want to Know, and he owns this album, in my eyes. Even Never Going Back Again, as performed here, is excellent. Stevie’s contributions are incredible, too, as are Christine’s, but my dislike of Oh Daddy pushed her down a notch below Stevie, in my eyes.

I’m surprised I’m the first one to vote for Lindsey.

Her keyboard playing is what lures me into the song. Lindsey's acoustic playing and Mick's lonely castanet is just so magical and mystical. I wish there was an alternate take with an extended play out. The ending is my favorite music the Mac has ever done. THAT sound is so Fleetwood Mac and so 1970s. I love it.

You Make Loving Fun is the best song on Rumours. Dreams and Gold Dust Woman are the next best.

I think what makes Rumours great is the fact that all three of them were in peak songwriting/performing form and there is really no bad song on the album (though, sorry folks, Oh Daddy is by far my least favorite). And, they were also all collaborating strongly -- so you see how Lindsey's contributions made The Chain and YMLF and Dreams much better songs, while the harmonies from SN and CB made SHN and GYOW much better songs (something that was lost for much of the post-Rumours period).

I can't pick. I can barely pick my favorite songs, but I think they would be The Chain and YMLF if forced to choose.
