Default A reminder from the past about why this band isn't in the studio and is on tour

Remember when John McVie had cancer? And in December 2013 he fronted up for this concert? Christine rejoined the band and announced it a month or two later.

Remember Stevie's speech? And how she broke down in tears this night?

Maybe listen to that speech and the song again. It might be more important to the members of Fleetwood Mac that they tour rather than be in the studio recording.

Maybe that is their legacy. To give us all that special night that we will remember as fans for years and years and decades to come.

Just maybe.

I'll remember new music for longer than I'll remember 2 hours of one night.

I know what you dudes means, but studio work is reall tough and expensive stuff, particularly when you don't get along well as a band.

A new album would light up my world.

A new tour would too, though. The set list WILL change and they could still do 3 or 4 new songs plus a live album a la The Dance

We know they have dozens of new songs in the can according to Mick, so there are enough to do a 2017 live album, tour and THEN do the studio album of new material.

Spot on. They're set list and music catalogue is stale. New music would not only give the band a chance to grow musically, it would probably reinvigorate old material.
