Now didn't Stevie promise the audience a repeat whole show, start to finish, when Mick got sick earlier in the year? Doesn't look like their gonna get it.I bet they're pissed, even now.Do you think this will leave a bitter taste in Lincoln's fans mouthes?Speaking of mouthes - Stevie, open mouth, insert booted foot.

Thats a good question. They might have issues and fuss on lugging their gear to do a makeup show.It took awhile to re-tour Aussie and NZ got canceled due to John's condition.

What's up with Lincoln, Nebraska?
First Lindsey and then the Mac. They just can't catch a break. I guess the stars are crazy. |

If you are a Mac fan and went to the concert in Lincoln, Nebraska.... ask yourself this question. Would it be better for the show to have been cancelled all together if Mick decided not to play? Or was it better to get 65 minutes of Fleetwood Mac live?
If I was at the show of course I would be disappointed. But I would be thankful I got to see half a show. It would have been easy to just cancel and move on. Fleetwood Mac did the unthinkable and perform 2 songs while their drummer and founding member was incapacitated backstage. Its really amazing. No band wants to look amateurish or foolish with spontaneously playing songs without key members. But they did it for one song. I think Stevie's remarks were meant as an apology. I think it would be standard language for any situation like this. Fleetwood Mac is famous for starting tours in the Midwest. I would not be surprised to see Lincoln in the next tour early on.

the band could have come up with something to extend the show past 65 minutes. In fact this could have been the show to be at had they chosen to take a risk and continue. USA TODAY CONCERT REVIEW, LINCOLN, NEBRASKA... Last night's Fleetwood Mac Concert took a turn for the better when Lindsey Buckingham walked over to bandmate Stevie Nicks. The two could be heard arguing as a stunned audience witnessed Mr. Buckingham's legendary temper. According to eyewitnesses Ms. Nicks wanted to end the show as one of the founding members of the group Mick Fleetwood (drummer) was incapacitated (tacos?) half way through the set. Lindsey pulled Stevie's in ear monitors off and as Christine McVie approached Lindsey took his guitar and smashed the teleprompter Stevie had relied on all night. That must have worked. Because the band finished the set with the most inspired versions of... |

Fleetwood Mac is the only band I know of that had one of their roadies fill in for the song he knows and plays during a sound check. He does a great job but still flubs the song and missed the beat about midway. Fleetwood Mac is a professional band. They are not going to play botched songs. They are also not going to play songs they have not practiced for the tour. Someone even wrote they should have played landslide again. Now isn't that silly? How about a puppet show? Charades? ![]() The Rolling Stones would not perform if Charlie Watts was ill. The Eagles were not perform if Don Henley was ill. Not sure why FM should be held to a different standard.

Yea.I agree .They all say .We'll be back here next year". Nobody knows what the future holds. They probably swing by in 2017.
Did they offer a partial refund for the people that were there. That would be the right thing to do.Its BS if they didn't.Somebody should look into this. Also It would be good to let the fans hold their tix stubs from the show for a discount for their next show or better yet for another artist at the same venue.

To bad.I figure that. I dont remember .Correct me if I'm wrong. I think at the tide flooded Stevie show at Jones Beach NY years ago and they offered partial refunds or full refunds at the show.I said screw that .I stayed and floated around "pun intended" in the water until the tides went out during Chris Isaak's set .The tides were all out after Stevie's third song in her set. That night also I earned a EO17 handshake from her.
