[Ha. Thanks. Lynn should have to pay for his red shoes for life. I don't know who she thinks she is. He has certain standards]

Mick Fleetwood -- the founder and drummer of Fleetwood Mac -- just filed for legal separation from his third wife.

Mick -- whose sexual escapades with Stevie Nicks are legendary -- married Lynn Susan Frankel Fleetwood in 1995. They have twin daughters, who are now 11.

Mick cites irreconcilable differences and wants joint legal custody of the kids but wants Lynn to have primary physical custody.

And get this ... the guy who presumably is richer than you could ever dream of ... wants spousal support!

Now here's a big deal ... Mick claims all of his premarital musical royalties and memorabilia are his property -- which makes sense.

He has NOT filed for divorce -- at least not yet, but it looks like he's never going back again.

Ok, so this is a not so subtle hint that Lynn does very well for herself... but what does she do? I always assumed she was your quintessential rock & roll wife.

Looks like they removed the line about him wanting spousal support.

Interesting. They only say now that he wants to keep his premarital royalties and separate income. They say, "now get this" but then add that that request makes sense. The spousal report item must have been erroneous. But they don't post a retraction. They just change it.

After he blows the ten million dollars he's going to pocket from this tour in five years or less, he's gonna need all the spousal support he can get.

I assumed it meant he requested to pay spousal support to his wife. Then he'd have a much better chance of keeping his stuff.

Nobody blows through huge wads of cash better than Mick! He really is a financial idiot.

Time to go your own way!

Fleetwood Mac star Mick files for legal separation from third wife... and asks for spousal support He is currently in the middle of his legendary band's latest tour.

But that did not stop Fleetwood Mac founder Mick Fleetwood finding time to file for legal separation from his third wife Lynn.

The legendary drummer told his other half she should go her own way after 18 years of marriage.

According to TMZ, the superstar musician is seeking spousal support from the woman he married back in 1995, despite the band bearing his name selling 100 million albums.

However this has not stopped him claiming all of his premarital musical royalties and memorabilia are his property.

The Cornwall-born rocker is also seeking joint legal custody of their twin 11-year-old daughters, though he wants his wife to have primary physical custody.

The 65-year-old is citing irreconcilable differences, but so far has not filed for a divorce.

His band have just kicked off a 34-city tour around the US and Canada, which ends in Detroit on June 12.

This is just weeks before the Glastonbury Festival, and rumours are already afoot the classic rockers could be a superstar addition to the bill.

And singer Stevie Nicks has spoken out to deny claims it was the multi-platinum outfits final hurrah.

She said: 'It's never going to be a final tour until we drop dead.

'There's no reason for this to end as long as everyone is in good shape and takes care of themselves

The tour will coincide with the 35th anniversary of their classic album Rumours, which featured four hit singles and global sales of over 40 million

Not sure in which state he filed in, but in California, anything over 10 years is considered a "long-term" marriage and he's probably screwed in terms of trying to claim that what's his is still his and not hers. Watch the big Hollywood power couples--they often will split before they hit that 10 year mark--it makes a huge difference in who gets what and how much in divorce cases out there.

It does seem to be a line of demarcation. In many cases, if there's a pre-nup then it will have benefits that don't kick in until the 10 year mark.

For more pedestrian couples after 10 years you can lay claim to your spouse's pension.
