Calling all Ledgies!
In my high school chorale, or choir, we got a new student teacher. He has come up with an idea to better get to know everybody. He created a poster, where we each must put down one song that he vows to listen to. Of course, i have decided to put a Fleetwood Mac song, but i'm just not sure which! ![]() I have considered (and he's 21, so he either may have or not have heard their classics):
so, either pick from that list or give me your suggestions and thoughts! Can't wait to hear what you have to say! ![]() -Miranda

I would pick Rhiannon.

you have no idea how long i pondered this choice.....if i pick it, it'll probably be from either the '75 concert or the Tusk tour..as for Rhiannon...i see your guys' point with Rosebud.....maybe the studio version will suffice?

^Maybe The Dance version
the studio version is magnificent as well, and radio friendly (general population that can't handle her awesomeness ) |

Out of the songs you'd listed at the top I'd be most tempted to say The Chain, but since it's likely he might have heard it I'd maybe go for the studio SOTM as something he doesn't know and that is a bit different from the Fleetwood Mac he probably knows from the radio. |

Out of your choices I would definitely pick The Chain, it's one of the only songs my friends can stand and they almost hate FM. To me, Rhiannon from Rosebud may frighten a newcomer, but given the circumstances, it may be a good option. Silver Springs is, as you said emotionally raw, and a masterpiece, my friends also like this one. Sisters Of The Moon may, like Rhiannon, give a different impression from the norm of FM's songs. However, if you were talking only Stevie, I would definitely go with SOTM

Exactly. Pick something that would expand someone's mind about Fleetwood Mac. That they were more than just their radio hits. Or that they were more than just a pop band (perhaps something avant garde from Tusk or SYW). Or since it's a chorale teacher, pick a song that really showcases their lush vocals (for instance, Stevie and Lindsey's voices are extremely lush on Beautiful Child).

The Ledge or Brown Eyes.

Of those choice Sisters of the Moon is the only logical choice. The Chain is a big radio song as is Rhiannon. Those would be wasteful. Honestly since he's a dude I'd say pick a Lindsey song...he might identify with it more....and pick one that has some nice guitar work on it. I'm So Afraid from the Dance is a good option I think. It has that nice jam at the beginning and the long solo at the end and Lindsey's in fine vocal form throughout. Just a thought.

Ok, so i've given some more thought...i definetly want to pick a TUSK song so he knows there's more to the Mac than just "Go Your Own Way", but i don't want to scare him away from listening to Fleetwood Mac again by choosing a really IN YOUR FACE song like "Not That Funny". So i may play it just a little safer by either picking "Think About Me", "I Know I'm Not Wrong", "Sisters of The Moon". I've also been recently listening to MIRAGE...and i've been thinking - what about "Book of Love"? I am in love with that song, and it does have a bit of Tusk influence.
Just some thoughts

Brown Eyes is instrumental perfection!
So many subtle, beautiful sounds! And Christine's singing (while not too deep and meaningful with the lyrics), along with the sha-la-las, only adds to it. Definitely Brown Eyes!Or Silver Springs... Or Albatross... ![]()

Try Tango in the Night......But then again I have a bias toward that song. After 4 years that one's still in heavy rotation
