Default Mirage #5 on list of album covers with subliminal images...

This is just odd.
Subliminal image hidden in Mirage album cover.
Follow the link. Mirage is number five on a list of album covers with subliminal images. There is an additional link to what he author believes he is seeing (which is ridiculous).

....what the HECK?!!

Ridiculous is right. I definitely see what this guy is talking about but I think that if it was intentional, they would have made it a more prevalent aspect of the image... especially considering the title of the album.

Hmmm.

An intended subliminal image, by nature, is not supposed to be prevalent!

I'm on the fence about whether this image was intended on the Mirage album; however I always thought the position of Lindsey's and Stevie's hands joining was rather peculiar.

The mirage is Fleetwood Mac still existing as a band by this point. The album sounds like a bunch of solo work to me, Gypsy and Hold Me excepted.

Kate Bush
Aerial (2005)

Her fans claim the image of Kate Bush's face is super-imposed in the water. I don't see it - but then again, when I hear a song like Wuthering Heights, I don't see anything in that either.
Ok. There's what's wrong with this list! I don't see Kate Bush's face either... but the "subliminal" image (maybe it's just too obvious to mention) is that the reflected rock formations suggest the following: 1) sound waves and 2) female reproductive system. Both of which are very much related to the themes of the album.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

I see what I think is a face. Like the Mirage album, looking at it from a distance helped. If I look at it close up, it isn't there.

I could always see the face. They used the old woman's face on promo material for Behind The Mask album.

This has been discussed on The Ledge a few times before. From what I recall many believe the "mirage" of the old woman is intentional and it certainly fits with the title. For what it's worth I see the old lady's face in the clasped hands myself. I don't think it's ridiculous at all but it could be unintentional.

I didn't think there was any doubt about this, with the album title and the old hag...who I always thought looked more like an old man...but I guess it's more of a hag. How should I know...it's two hands clasped!

Anyway...I think it's intentional. That was my point.

Or as Chris would say...it's a Miiiiiirage
